Derry Court: Man and Woman returned for trial on series of drug charges

A man and a woman have been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges.
A 21 year old woman and a 25-year-old man appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court today.
They are both charged with cultivation cannabis at an address in Chapel Road in Derry on May 13 2021, possessing cannabis with intent to supply on the same date and possessing cannabis.
The woman is also charged with several charges of being concerned in the supply of cannabis on dates between May 17 2020 and May 14 2021.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Neither defendant said they wished to call any witnesses or may any statement at this stage.
Both were returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on February 27 and released on bail.
