Sheila Curry (née McCloskey), 76 Slaughtmanus Road, Tamnaherin

The death has taken place of Sheila Curry (née McCloskey), 24th November 2022, beloved wife of Colum, loving mother of Donna, Martina and Orla, mother-in-law of Noel and Noland, devoted grandmother of Farrah and Laila and dear sister of Anthony, Brendan, Gerard, Tina and the late Donald and Rosaleen. Funeral from her home, 76 Slaughtmanus Road, on Sunday at 9.25am for 10o’clock funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Parking for the wake will be available at Listress School. Family flowers only please. Thomas Boyd (Tom) Magee, 12 Riverview Crescent, Drumahoe

The death has taken place of Thomas Boyd (Tom) Magee, 24th November 2022, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (formerly of St. Johnston, Co. Donegal (surrounded by his loving family in his 88th year) much loved husband of Ellen (Ella) devoted dad of Billy, Derek and the late Joe, loving father-in-law of Diane and Heather, adored granda of Craig, Ryan, TJ, Lisa, Laura and Sophie, lovingly adored great-granda, of Susanna, Priya and Calvin, dearest brother of Victor. Funeral leaving his late home, 12 Riverview Crescent, Drumahoe, on Monday, 28th November, at 1.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Glendermott Presbyterian Church at 2.00pm burial afterwards in adjoining Churchyard. Fr. Desmond Morrison (Columban Fathers), late of Derry and Columban Fathers Manila

The death has occurred of Fr. Desmond Morrison (Columban Fathers), late of Derry City and Columban Fathers Manila, 23rd November 2022, in the loving care of the staff of Manila Doctors Hospital, Philippines. Predeceased by his parents James and Peg; sister Aideen (Sr. Phelim); brothers Gerald, Neil, Jim and David. Very deeply regretted by his brother Michael, sister Anne Friel, nieces, nephews, extended family, Columban family and friends. Funeral Mass and burial to take place in Manila. Gerald (Gerry) McConnell, Derry

The death has taken place of Gerald (Gerry) McConnell, 22nd November 2022, (peacefully) at his home, loving father of Rory, Martin and Paul, beloved son of the late Gerald and Celine. Sadly missed by his wider family circle and friends. Funeral leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Saturday, 26th November at 11.30am to the City Cemetery for interment at 12.00noon. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

Bernard (Barney) McGillion, 30 Oughtymoyle Ave, Bellarena

The death has occurred of Bernard (Barney) McGillion, 24th November 2022, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved husband of Rebecca, loving father of Noel, Bernadette, and Carol, father-in-law of Colette and Brian, a much loved grandfather of Nicole, Jessica, Peter, Ryan, and Ruby, son of the late Thomas and Nellie R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all his brothers and sisters and all the family circle. Private family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am Please. Funeral will leave from his home, 30 Oughtymoyle Ave Bellarena on Monday at 10.25am for Requiem Mass at 11.00am in Aidan’s Church Magilligan followed by interment in adjoining Cemetery. The death has taken place of Isobel McMonagle (néeHamill), 24th November2022, (peacefully) at Longfield Nursing Home, Eglinton (surrounded by her loving family) dearly beloved wife of the late Noel, much loved mother of Gary and Scott, loving mother-in-law of Donna and Helena, adored grandmother of Gareth, Samantha, Reece, Ethan, great-grandmother of Gracie. Service of Thanksgiving in her late home, 251 Sperrin Park, Caw on Monday, 28th November at 11.00am followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. David Desmond (Dessie) Thompson, 73 Abbeydale, Waterside, Derry

The death has taken place of David Desmond (Dessie) Thompson, 24th November 2022, (suddenly) at his home, 73 Abbeydale, Waterside, dearly loved husband of the late Elizabeth, loving brother of Marlene, Alan, Daphne and Diane, a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Celebration of his life in D & R Hay & Sons Funeral Home 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Tuesday, 29th November at 11.30am followed by Cremation in Lakelands, Crematorium, Cavan. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing family circle.
