AUSTIN, Shaun - 14th January 2022 - at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved son of the late Kathleen and Kenneth, Francis Street, loving brother of Sheila and Ken, brother-in-law of Magdalene and a much loved uncle and great-uncle. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, on Sunday evening from 4.30pm - 6.00pm. Shaun’s remains will then be removed to St Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.


CANNING (née Gamble), Hazel Mary - 14th January 2022 - (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of Stewart, 10 Woodvale Road, Eglinton, loving mother of Ian, Mark and Stephen, a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Barbara, Bill and the late Bertie, Marjory and Edith. House restricted to family and close friends only please, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Funeral service in St Canice’s Parish Church on Monday at 2.00pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. FRIEL, Edward - 15th January 2022 - (ssuddenly but peacefully) at his home 47 Beechwood Crescent, Creggan, Derry, may he rest in peace. Beloved husband of the late Patsy R.I.P., beloved son of the late Edward & Mary, formerly of 13 St Columba’s Wells. Dear brother of Sofia , Mimi, Kay , Phylis, Susie, Marty, Jimmy, Bernie and the late Gracie R.I.P. Loved dearly by his devoted nieces and nephews and his sisters in law Julie, Lorna and Donna and brother in law Stormy and John. Wake and funeral arrangements later.

KELLY, Violet - 15th January 2022 - (peacefully) at Brooklands Nursing Home, Magherafelt, Violet, formerly of 15 Lawford Street, Moneymore, Mother of Robert Recenus, Mother-in-Law of Elaine, Grandmother of Louise and Ruth and Sister of Roberta, Margaret and Andrea. Funeral from her home on Monday, 17th January at 2.00pm, to St. John’s Parish Churchyard for a Service of Committal. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Alzheimer's Society, payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore Magherafelt BT45 5PP. Always remembered by the entire Family Circle.


KERR, Georgina (Georgie) - 15th January 2022 - (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital. Loving Wife of the Late Wilson, devoted mother of Peter and Nicola, mother-in-law of Alan and a dear grandmother of Isla and Harris. Funeral will leave her late home 11 Clooney Park West at 1.30pm on Monday, 17th January for a 2.00pm Service in Waterside Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family Flowers only please. Donations if desired to Waterside Presbyterian Church, C/O Mrs Olive Hamilton, 2 Rosswater, Londonderry, BT47 2YR. House Private. Sadly missed by her entire Family Circle and good Friends.


SAMPSON, Alistair George - 15th January 2022 - (peacefully) in the care of his loving family, 27 Annaghmore Road, Castledawson, dearly beloved husband of Lorraine, much loved and devoted father of Julie, Lynn and David, dear father-in-law of Matt, Jonny and Samantha, loving granda of Amie, Jacob, Thomas and Violet and dearest brother of Ivor and David. House private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP on Sunday evening from 6.00pm - 9.00pm. Funeral service in Castledawson Presbyterian Church on Monday, 17th January at 2:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Marie Curie Nursing and Rural Support, payable to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donations A/c). Will be ever so sadly missed but always loved by his Wife, Children and the entire Family Circle.
