Funeral arrangements for the late Breda Collins (Maghera and Swatragh) Died January 31 2026. Everyone welcome to call at McKiernan’s Funeral Home, 45-47 Maghera Street, Kilrea BT51 5QL today (Sunday) from 2:30pm to 6.00pm. Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, beloved daughter of the late Patsy and Maureen Collins; loving sister of Mary, Eileen, Paddy, James and the late Fr. Neil and Jean; beloved sister-in-law of Caroline and a much loved aunt, great aunt and friend. Funeral cortege will leave from the Collins family home, 12 Main Street, Swatragh on Monday, February 2 2026 at 10:40am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Granaghan. Linda Gardiner, 772 Farranseer Park, Macosquin, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Linda Gardiner, January 30 2026, (peacefully) at her home, 772 Farranseer Park, Macosquin, Coleraine, dearly loved mummy of Julie (Steven), Lucy and Donna. Much loved and devoted Nana of Elsa and Eden, dear daughter of the late Stanley and Hazel, treasured sister of Ann, Ally, Trevor (Dolly), Karen (Iam), Addie (Joan), Angie (Archy), and a special aunt and friend. Service in her home on Tuesday at 11.00am followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery (Bright colours to be worn at Linda’s request). House private. Family flowers only please. Freda Gormley (née Hogan), Magherafelt (Formerly Dublin, USA and Canada)
The death has taken place of the late Freda Gormley (née Hogan), (Magherafelt and formerly Dublin, USA and Canada), January 29 2026, died peacefully in her home in Magherafelt, predeceased by her loving husband Philip Gormley and parents Paul and Josephine Hogan of Co Monaghan, profoundly missed by her sisters Lee and Sharon and nephew Paul in Dublin, brother Paul and niece Ava in Canada, brother John, sister-in-law Jules, nephews Keagan, Jesse and Zac and grand-nieces Ellie and Chloe in Australia, her Emyvale cousins and extended family, her God-children and dear friends old and new from all over the island of Ireland, and neighbours and carers who watched out for her so kindly over the years. Requiem Mass for Freda will take place in Church of our Lady of the Assumption Magherafelt Co-Derry and Via Webcam @ Our Lady of the Assumption on Tuesday, February 3 2026 at 11.00am, interment afterwards in Polepatrick Cemetery. The death has taken place of Jackie McAfee, January 31 2026, peacefully at Hospital, 3 Knockmore Crescent, Macosquin. Dearly beloved husband of Joan, much loved father of Shirley, Eleanor, Mandy, Christopher, Mark and Lisa, a loving father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. The death has occurred of the late Michael Ramsey, January 30 2026, suddenly at his home, (late of Grafton Street, formerly of 5 Ramore Gardens), father of Tracey, Rachel, Tyrone and Carlene, a grandfather, dear son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth, cherished brother of Frank, Martin, Paul, John, Josephine, Annmarie, Samuel and Theresa and a caring uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and all his friends. Michael will be reposing at his sister’s home, 5 Ramore Gardens on Saturday, January 31 from 2:00pm to 10:00pm and on Sunday from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving there on Monday, February 2 at 9:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
