Samuel James (Adrian) Hamilton, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Samuel James (Adrian) Hamilton, January 14 2026, (passed away unexpectedly while on a trip to Benidorm, Spain). Loving father of Isaac and Ellie, precious son of the late Eileen and Jim and dear brother of the late Keith. Adrian’s repatriation is anticipated on Wednesday, January 28 2026 at which point wake and funeral arrangements will be confirmed. Adrian’s loss is deeply felt within his family circle. “Gone but not forgotten.”

Anthony McCann, 17 Aughrim Lane, Newbridge

The death has taken place of Anthony McCann (Newbridge), January 27 2026, beloved husband of the late Adeline and loving father of Damian, Bronagh, Adrian (Lorraine), Tony (Julie-Anne), Deborah (James), Gary, Paul (Mary) and the late Christopher, dear brother of Donal and the late Sally McCormick, Tom and John. Funeral from his home, 17 Aughrim Lane, on Thursday, January 29 at 1.15pm for 2.00pm Requiem Mass in Church of St Trea Newbridge, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.

Kathleen (Lena) McCarron, 80 Primity Crescent, Derry

The death has taken place of Kathleen (Lena) McCarron, January 27 2026, peacefully at Edgewater Nursing Home, beloved Wife of the late Reggie, loving Mother of Claire and her partner Kenneth and a dear Sister of William and Sister in Law of Diane and Shirley. Funeral service in her home, 80 Primity Crescent at 12.30pm on Saturday, January 31 followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Magheramason Presbyterian Church c/o Mr Leslie Hamilton, 12 Keery Park BT47 2TD. Family time only from 10.00pm until 11.00am. Sadly missed by her entire family circle and friends. The Lord is my Shepherd.

Annie McKee (née Smyth), 1 Castlewood Avenue, Coleraine

Funeral arrangements for the late Annie McKee (née Smyth), January 27 2026, peacefully at her home, 41 Castlewood Avenue, Coleraine. Annie, dearly loved wife of the late Sloan, and much loved mother of Will (Amelia), Sandra (Colin) and Brian (Gillian); adored granny of Neil (Melissa), Christine (Joe), Gavin (Olivia), Michala (Uel), Cassandra (Paul) and great granny of Ben and Josh, Jacob and Nina, Lacey and Blake, Bentley and Saskia; dearly loved sister of Martha (late Jim), Matt (Helen) and the late Robert. Service of Thanksgiving in Macosquin Presbyterian Church, Coolyvenny Road, on Friday at 1.00pm, followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of the late Christopher McNeill, January 26 2026, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of Martin, Debra, Gerard and Maura, father-in-law of Fran, Ciaran and Moira, devoted grandfather of Laura (Jake), Sean Erin), Eoin (Naomi), Maggie, Joe, John, Eilis and Chris and great-grandfather of Annie, Eabha, Rossa and Evie and dear brother of the late Paddy, Ethel, Jimmy, Hugh, John, Mary, Joe, Danny, Gerard and Elizabeth. His remains will be reposing in his home, 11 Dunvale Park, BT48 0AU, from 12noon - 9.00pm on Wednesday. Funeral from there on Thursday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Hugo Miller, 18 Clements Court, Derry

The death has taken place of Hugo Miller, January 27 2026, peacefully at Deanfield Care Home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Gwen, loving father of Gary, Maxine, Rhonda and Allan. Dear father-in-law of Laura, Dave, Simon and Heather. A devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral leaving his late home, 18 Clements Court on Friday, January 30 2026 at 12.30pm for 1.00pm service in Carlisle Road Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if wished, to Carlisle Road Presbyterian Church c/o Mr S Ramsey, 14 Broomhill Court, Derry BT47 6WP. Family and friends welcome to the family home from 1.00pm to 8.00pm. Deeply regretted by his loving family circle. The Lord is My Shepherd.

The death has occurred of the late James Nash, January 25 2026, suddenly but peacefully at his home, 9 Glenowen Park, beloved son of the late James (Banty) and Margaret, loving brother of Noel, Janice, Mairead, Michelle, Padraig and the late Rhondalee, cherished uncle of Lochlann, Rhonda-Lee, Grace and Bobbieleigh, dear brother-in-law to Andrew, Richard and Gemma. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and all his friends. James will be reposing in 115 St. Eithne’s Park on Wednesday, January 28 from 10:00am. House private from 10:00pm to 10:00am. Funeral leaving 115 St. Eithne’s Park on Friday, January 30 at 9:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

Jack O'Kane, Solihull, Birmingham (Formerly of Drumagarner, Kilrea)

The death has taken place of Jack O'Kane, peacefully, (Solihull, Birmingham & formerly of Drumagarner, Kilrea), beloved husband of Teresa, much-loved father of Jacquline and dearly loved grandfather of Oran. Brother of Matty McAllister, Kathleen Tosh, Vincent, Brian and Ambrose, the late Marian and Margaret Ward. On his soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Deeply regretted by the entire O’Kane and Larkin Families.

Ethel Mary Scott, Tamniaran, Dungiven

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Ethel Mary Scott, Passed away peacefully at Edenvale Care Home on January 27 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Formerly of Tamniaran, Dungiven. Much loved wife of the late William and dear Mother of William, Irene (late Robert), Trevor (Lisa), Edgar (Yvonne), David (Faye), Adrian (Thaniya) and the late Robin, dear sister of Jean (late Sidney) Ida (Ivor), sister in law of Edith and a devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother. All welcome to call at the home of her Son Edgar and Yvonne, 45 Scroggy Road, Limavady from Wednesday onwards. Funeral will leave her sons home on Friday at 1.15pm for service in Dungiven Parish Church at 2.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Dungiven Parish Church and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle.

Thompson, January 26 2026, beloved husband of Carolyn, loving brother of Gordon, Linda, June and the late Avril and a cherished brother-in-law and uncle. Leslie will be reposing in his home, 49 Abbeydale, on Wednesday and Thursday from 2.00pm - 9.00pm. Funeral service will take place in his home on Friday at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in Altnagelvin Cemetery. A service of thanksgiving for his life will take place in Ballyarnett Presbyterian Church at 3.30pm. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of the late Martha (Meta) Thompson (née Lamrock), January 27 2026, beloved wife of James, loving mother of Ken, Malcolm, Jacqueline, Mandy, Adrian and Andrew, a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 16 Aghamore Park, Strathfoyle from 11.00am on Wednesday. The death has occurred of the late William (Will) Wilkinson, Peacefully on Monday, January 26 2026 at Altnagelvin Hospital, late of 20 Gortin Manor, Newbuildings, Derry and formerly from Drumbenagh, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan. Funeral service on Thursday, January 29, in Corragarry Free Presbyterian Church, Co.Monaghan, eircode H16 X568, at 2.00pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Resting at 20 Gortin Manor on Tuesday and Wednesday. Will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife Betty, son Glenn, daughter-in-law Deborah, his treasured grandchildren Emily and Zach. Also his brother Ronnie and sister-in-law Hilda, sister Florence (-Graham) and the family circle. "The Lord is my Shepherd"
