The death has taken place of the late Alan Campbell, January 11 2026, at home, 26 Dennett Gardens. Beloved son of Patricia and Jim, Loving brother of Brian, Mark, Tony, Dawn and Gemma. A loving uncle of Lily, Holly, Brooke, Peyton, Quinn, Serena and Sofia. Funeral service in his home at 12noon on Friday, January 16 followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to the family home from 6.00pm on Wednesday, January 14. Deeply regretted by his loving family circle. “The Lord is My shepherd”.

Charlie Doherty, 17 Iona Court, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Charlie Doherty, January 10 2026, peacefully at his home, 17 Iona Court, beloved husband of Eileen, loving father of Seán and Aíne, devoted granda to Seanín, Oisín, Conán, Caoirse and Flynn and great-granda to Rían and Ruadhán, cherished son of the late Geroge and Roseann, and a dear and loving brother of Mary, George, Martin, Margaret, Bernie, Vincent, Carol and the late Pat and John, caring father-in-law to Paul and Shauna and a dear brother-in-law. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle, his neighbours and friends. Charlie will be reposing at his home on Tuesday from 11:00am to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:50am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Dr Joseph (Joe) McElroy, January 10 2026, beloved husband of Ann, loving father of Ann-Marie and Eimear, father-in-law of Shane, devoted grandfather of Matthew and Ciaran, dear brother of the late Michael and Eamon and a much loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in his home, 7 Mount Pleasant, on Tuesday from 12noon - 8.00pm.  Funeral from there on Wednesday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Patrick (Paddy) McGuinness, 21 St. Brigid’s Avenue, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick (Paddy) McGuinness, peacefully at Culmore Manor Care Home on January 12 2026. Former postman and late of 21 St. Brigid’s Avenue, Derry. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of the late William and Mary. Loving brother of the late Rita, Bridie, Mickey, Jim, Sadie, Kathleen and Billy. A much loved uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Bridget (Bridie) Murphy, January 11 2026, peacefully at Sevenoaks Care Home, (Formerly of the Metropole), beloved mother of Paul Barr, dear mother-in-law to Stacey, devoted grandmother of Jamie and Jessica, dear step-mother of Stacey Davidson, cherished youngest daughter of the late William and Cecilia Murphy (formerly of Rinmore Drive, Creggan), and a loving sister of Dolly and the late Sheila, Margaret, Pat and Liam. Bridget will be reposing at Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, 31 William Street, on Tuesday, January 13 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Removal then leaving there to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower to repose overnight with Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January at 10:00am. The death has taken place of Mary Patton (née Boyle), January 11 2026, beloved wife of the late Billy, 7 De Moleyn Park, Academy Road, loving mother of Martin, Alison, Brian, Sharon and John, mother-in-law of Marie, Debbie and John, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Kay and the late Evelyn. Mary’s remains will be reposing in her home from 2.00pm on Tuesday.
