Richard Telford (Ricky) Browne, 13 Kenvara Park, Coleraine

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Richard Telford (Ricky) Browne, December 7 2025 (peacefully) at Hospital, Richard Telford (Ricky), 13 Kenvara Park, Coleraine. Dearly loved husband of Myrna, dear father of Philip and Stephen, much loved grandfather of Ashleigh, Shauna and Kirstie and great-granda of Jake, Ryan, Rhys and Skylar. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2A Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Thursday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired NICHS c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Deeply regretted by his loving family and entire family circle.

The death has occurred of the late John Cross, December 8 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Wendy, loving father of Sean, cherished son of the late Raymond and Pam (Westway) dear brother of Donna, Nuala, Kevin and the late Raymond and a much loved uncle and great-uncle. John will be reposing in his home, 8 Sunvale Park, Greysteel, BT47 3ED. Funeral from there on Thursday at 2o'clock for 2.30pm Requiem Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Family flowers only please. John Laurence Doherty, Derry

The death has occurred of the late John Laurence Doherty, December 9 2025, peacefully at Cornfield Care Home, (formerly of Cooleen Park, Culmore), beloved son of the late Edward and Ellen, (formerly of Tyrconnell Street), loving brother of Bridie and the late Katie, Sheila, Pauline, Abbie, Seamus, Tommy and Fred. John will be reposing in Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 10 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11 at 9:30am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Henry Duggan, 45 Craigadick Park, Maghera (Formerly of Lavey)

The death has occurred of the late Henry Duggan, December 8 2025, Peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Trea (née Kelly). Devoted father of Kelley Holleran, Gary and Louise O’Neill. Much loved grandfather of Dáithí, Éabha, Paídí, Mia, Callum and Shea. Son of the late Michael and Teresa (Teesh) Duggan. Brother of Patsy, Eileen McShane, Gerard, Dermot, Seamus, Brendan, Vincent, Charlie, Teresa Magee, Mairead McGill, Colette McCusker, Martin and the late Assumpta Henry and Raymond. Funeral from his home, 45 Craigadick Park, BT46 5DD on Friday, December 12 at 10.00am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Lavey. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Vincent (Vince) King, 46 Melmore Gardens, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that announce the passing of Vincent (Vince) King, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on December 9 2025. Late of 46 Melmore Gardens. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Anji (née McLaughlin). Devoted father of Karron and Vincent. A much loved father-in-law of Brian and Kelly. Loving granda to Stephanie, Brian Óg, Addison, and Charles. Dearest friend of the late Ciaran McAlister. A dear brother-in-law to Pauline Brown, Karron Diamond, the late Ann Starrs and Jim and Hugh McLaughlin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Vince’s remains will be reposing at his late family home, 46 Melmore Gardens. Funeral leaving from there on Friday, December 12 at 9:20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Helen Lyttle (née McCauley), 39 Thorndale, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Helen Lyttle (née McCauley), December 8 2025, beloved wife of the late Sean, loving mother of Michael, Paul, Donna, Ann, Deirdre and the late Brian, mother-in-law of Gerry, Raymond, Eddie, Mary and the late Mandy and Charlotte and a much loved grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Helen's remains will be reposing in her home, 39 Thorndale, on Wednesday from 12noon - 9.00pm.  Funeral from there on Thursday at 11.20am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columba's Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. James (cousin Jimmy) McIntyre, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late James (cousin Jimmy) McIntyre, December 8 2025, (peacefully) at the Bohill Care Home, Coleraine, James (cousin Jimmy), dearly loved son of the late James and Ellen, dear brother of Hazel, Sylvia, Jennifer, Wendy, Geraldine and the late Betty, Doris, Angie and Kathleen and a much loved uncle to his nephews and nieces. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2A Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Friday at 11.00am followed by interment in Agherton Cemetery. Family and friends welcome at Murdock’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Donations if desired for Dementia NI c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Deeply regretted by his loving family and entire family circle.

The death has taken place of Brendan McLaughlin, December 7 2025, loving father of Michael and Brendan, father-in-law of Julieanne, devoted grandfather of Clara, husband of Loretta, cherished stepfather of Jamie, beloved son of the late Catherine and John and dear brother of Celia and the late Michael and John. Reposing in his home, 15 Top of the Hill. Funeral from there on Thursday at 10.30 am for 11 o'clock Requiem Mass in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road. The death has taken place of Brendan McNally, Ballymacpeake (Bansha), Lavey, December 6 2025, Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home. Much loved husband of the late Frances. Dearly loved father of Brenda, John, Hugh and Marguarita. Devoted Grandfather of Orla and Conor. Son of the late John and Rose McNally. Brother of John Pat, Charlie, Dannie, Jane, Gerard and the late Anne. Funeral from his home, 150 Mullaghboy Road, Bellaghy BT45 8JL on Wednesday, December 10 at 11.20am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lavey. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. The death has taken place of Joyce Annette (Joy) Newett (née Speirs), December 9 2025, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital,  dearly beloved Wife of Gordon, 3 Sprucefield Drive, Maghera, much loved Daughter of the late Bobby and Noelle Speirs, cherished Sister of Carol, Ronnie, Raymond, Ivor, Stephen, Wendy and the late Irwin, Margaret, Iris and Derek and a loving Sister-in-Law, Aunt and Great Aunt. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Thursday evening, December 11 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Friday, December 12 at 12:15pm to Knockloughrim Presbyterian Church for Service at 1:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Samuel Lee Osuere, Altcar Park, Derry

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Lee Osuere, 71 yrs, Passed away suddenly after a brief illness on December 3 2025, in Warri, Nigeria he was surrounded with family and Loved ones. Lee is survived by his children Lisa, Dawn, Lee, Michael, Bryan, Grandson Tyrell, Grand Daughter Chai, Great grand Daughter Aryiah, Damijo Family, Mallett Family, Extended family & friends in Nigeria. Predeceased by Mrs Rosaleen Osuere Nee Mallett. Rest In Peace. Patrick O’Neill (Paddy), 38 Dysert Road, Draperstown

It is with the deepest regret that we announce the death of Patrick O’Neill (Paddy), late of 38 Dysert Road, Draperstown, Peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family on December 9 2025. Deeply regretted by his brother Charlie, late brother Jim, sisters Mary O’Boyle and Brigid Woods, Also nieces and nephews Breige O’Neill, Seamus, Pat, Brendan, Patricia McErlean, Pauline Rafferty and Monica Glass, the late Maura Donnelly and Baby Patrick R.I.P. Viewing in Murray’s Funeral Home 6.00pm till 8.00pm on Wednesday, December 10, removal directly afterwards to St. Columba’s Church Straw. Requiem Mass on Friday, December 12 at 10.00am.
