Margaret (Peggy) Anderson (née Devenney), 40 Whitehill Park, Limavady

The death has occurred of the late Margaret (Peggy) Anderson (née Devenney), December 6 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Willie, 40 Whitehill Park, Limavady, loving mother of Geraldine, Patricia, Christine, Ann-Marie, Eamonn and Martin, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of May and the late Michael, Bridget and Patrick. Peggy's remains will be reposing in her home. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.20am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Finlough's Church, Ballykelly. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Thomas (Tom) Booth, 3 Moyola Gardens, Castledawson

Funeral arrangements for the late Thomas (Tom) Booth, passed away December 7 2025 (suddenly but peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly beloved husband of Marcella, 3 Moyola Gardens, Castledawson, much loved and devoted father of Jacqueline, Darren, Gareth, Steven, Dean, Gavin and Aimee-Lee, also a dear father-in-law, loving granda of Scarlett, Tammy, Hallie, Brody, Kyla, Blake, Remy, Tommy, Ollie, Jake, Josh and Arthur, cherished brother of Muriel, Norman, Eddie, Rodney, Sylvia, Wendy, Trevor and Leonard and dearest son-in-law of Alice and the late Raymond. Funeral arrangements later. Alan Dawson, 4 Termoneeny Park, Knockloughrim

The death has taken place of Alan Dawson, December 6 2025, (peacefully), at Antrim Area Hospital, after a short illness, 4 Termoneeny Park, Knockloughrim, dearly beloved husband of June, much loved brother of Aileen and the late Betty, loving son of the late Robert and Ruby and also a dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Funeral arrangements later. Lovingly remembered by his wife and the entire family circle. “Peace Perfect Peace.”

 

David John Gilfillan, 53B Scroggy Road, Limavady

The death has taken place of David John Gilfillan, passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family on December 5 2025. Much loved father of Daniel and Aidan dear brother of Sandra, Nora, Robert, Rhoda, William, Joe, Steven, loving son of the late James and Mary. All welcome to call at his late home, 53B Scroggy Road, Limavady on Wednesday evening from 4.00pm to 10.00pm and Thursday evening from 2.00pm to 10.00pm. Funeral service will be held in Browns Funeral Home on Friday at 11.00am followed by burial in Myroe Presbyterian Church graveyard at 12noon. Aghanloo Road, Limavady. David will be lovigly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

 

Rhoda Keen (née Bradley), Derry

The death has occurred of the late Rhoda Keen (née Bradley), December 6 2025, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, beloved wife of the late John, loving Mother of Ray and a devoted Mother in law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. A private cremation will take place. The Lord is my Shepherd.

 

Kayleigh Mullan, 49 Kylemore Road, Coleraine (Updated Funeral Arrangements)

The death has taken place of the late Kayleigh Mullan, Suddenly at her home: 49 Kylemore Road, Coleraine, on December 5 2025, Beloved mother of Brandon, Charley, Sophie, and the late baby Freya. Loving daughter of Ronald Mullan and Margaret McArthur. Seamus MacCafferty, Marlborough Street, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Seamus MacCafferty, December 6 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, (late of Marlborough Street), loving husband of Joyce Ann, cherished father Eliza Jane, James, Phelim and Patrick, devoted grandfather of Roisín, Séamie and Grace, and a dear and loving brother of Pat, Una, Blathnaid, Maire and the late Roisin. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Seamus will be reposing at Bradley & McLaughlin's Funeral Home, 31 William Street, on Monday, December 8 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Tuesday, December 9 at 1:00pm. At Rest.

The death has taken place of Felix McGurk, December 7 2025 beloved husband of the late Anne, loving father of John, Siobhan and Debbie, father-in-law of Deirdre, Thomas and Mark, much loved grandfather of Finn, Patrick, Anna, Conor and Charlie, son of the late Patrick and Nellie (Tullybrisland, Greysteel) and dear brother of Hughie, Una and the late Gerard, Charlie, Celine, Angela, Brendan, Eileen and Bridie. Anty (Anthony) Palmer, 4 Glenanne, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Anty (Anthony) Palmer, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on December 7 2025. Late of 4 Glenanne and formerly of 19 Melmore Gardens. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Margie. Devoted father of Anthony, Keith, David, Wendy and Lisa. Dearest father-in-law of Natalie. A loving granda and great-granda to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A much loved brother of Martin and the late Henry, Arty and Margaret. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his brothers and sisters-in-law, wider family circle and friends. Anty’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 4 Glenanne. Catherine Ann (née Ross) Patterson, 1 Lapwing Way, Clooney

The death has occurred of the late Catherine Ann (née Ross) Patterson, December 7 2025, Suddenly at her home (1 Lapwing Way, Clooney, surrounded by her loving family) much loved mum of Darren, Koyln and Hayley, a loving mother-in-law of Gillian and Lyndsey, adored nanny of Lewis, Lily, Holly, Alex, Polly, and Paityn, dearest sister of Lynette and Elaine. Funeral arrangements later. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle. “Your presence is missed, but in our hearts you will live forever”

 

Margery (Maridie) Scarlett (née Doherty), 39 Lavery Fold, Derry

The death has taken place of Margery (Maridie) Scarlett (née Doherty), December 7 2025, peacefully at Foyle Hospice, surrounded by her loving family, (formerly of Lone Moor Road), loving mother of Margaret, Jim, Thomas, Brian and Michelle, a dear mother-in-law, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to all her grandchildren, beloved sister of the late Kathleen and Mary and a cherished aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Margery will be reposing at her home, 39 Lavery Fold. Funeral leaving her home on Tuesday, December 9 at 9:20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Betty Simms (née Cloherty), Derry

The death has taken place of Betty Simms (née Cloherty), December 5 2025, peacefully at Longfield Care Home (formerly of Carnhill and Buncrana) beloved wife of the late Willie, loving mother of Bernard, Tanya and Peter, cherished grandmoher of Nicole, Beth, Ryan, Abbi, Ben, Adam, Maggie and Peter, great-grandmother of Cian, much loved daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth and dear sister of Una, Rita, Kathleen, Helen, Gloria and Peter. Deeply regretted by all her extended family and friends. Betty’s remains will be reposing in her son’s home, 18 Knockalla Park. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Cockhill, Buncrana. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12noon. Family flowers only please.
