Sr. Anna Maria Byrne, Derry

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sr. Anna Maria Byrne, daughter of the late John and Catherine, formerly of Oldcastle, Coachford, Co. Cork. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Daleview Nursing Home, Derry on November 6 2025. Sr. Anna Maria, beloved sister of the late Teddy, Dan, Rita, Tom and baby Anthony. Deeply regretted by her nieces and nephews and extended family. Sorely missed by her sorrowing community of Good Shepherd Sisters in Derry, Ireland, India and Worldwide. Sr. Anna Maria’s remains will be reposing at the Good Shepherd Convent Oratory, 38 Dungiven Road, today (Saturday, November 8) from 3.00pm to 8.30pm. Her remains will leave the Convent Oratory on Sunday, November 9 at 5.15pm for 5.30pm arrival to St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Road to repose overnight. Sr. Anna Maria’s Requiem Mass will then take place on Monday, November 10 at 10.00am. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Mass will be live streamed at: https: www.youtube.com/@WatersideParish. May Jesus the Good Shepherd bring her safely home. St. Padre Pio intercede for her.

 

Mary (Minnie) Coyle (née Donegan), 55 Drumleck Drive, Shantallow, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary (Minnie) Coyle (née Donegan), peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on November 6 2025. Late of 55 Drumleck Drive, Shantallow. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of the late Daniel (Denim). Devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A very dear mother-in-law. A much loved sister to all of her brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Minnie’s remains will be reposing at her late residence, 55 Drumleck Drive. Funeral leaving from there on Monday, November 10 at 9:15am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. The death has taken place of Irene Crossett (née Kissick), Called home November 6 2025, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, (in her 92nd year), dearly beloved wife of the late John, 144 Moneymore Road, Magherafelt, much loved and devoted mother of Mervyn, Ralph and Kenneth, cherished step-mother of Betty and Lorna, dear mother-in-law of Helen, Helen and Joan, loving granny of Lesa, Christine, Suzanne, Richard, Ian, Mellisa, Jennifer, Phillip, Derek, Ashley, Cherith and Lyndsey, adored great-granny of Ryan, Alfie, Harry, Zoe, Michael, Leah, Jack, Brooke, Sienna, Harper and Tyler and dearest sister of Grace, James, Leslie and the late Joyce, Bertie, Doreen, Ada, Geordie. House strictly private. Ian Heaslett H.D. BA (TCD) MA (TCD), 127 Drumsurm Road, Limavady

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Ian Heaslett H.D. BA (TCD) MA (TCD), passed away peacefully at Causeway Hospital on November 6 2025. Devoted husband of Anne, much loved brother of Gill and dear uncle of Peter, David and Andrew. All welcome to call at his late home, 127 Drumsurm Road, Limavady. Funeral service will be leaving his late home on Saturday at 11.30am for Service in Balteagh Parish Church at 12noon. Followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Chest Heart and Stroke Association and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est, Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

 

Eamon Kneeland, Coleraine

Funeral arrangements for the late Eamon Kneeland, died November 6 2025 (Coleraine) N.B. House strictly private please. Suddenly, deeply regretted by his loving parents Kevin and Marie, his cherished sister Siobhan, brother-in-law Garth. Caroline and Eamon’s sons Conor, Callum and Oran and grandson Cole. Also his daughter Georgia. His loving wife Anita and stepson Joel. His adoring nephew and nieces Lewis, Molly, Abbie and Little Darcy. Funeral from his parents residence, 4 Culmore Gardens, on Monday at 9:20am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Malachy’s Church, Coleraine. The death has occurred of the late Mervyn Alexander McClenaghan, November 6 2025, (suddenly) at his home, 7 Westland Gardens, Magherafelt dearly loved son of the late Isaac and Doreen, loving brother of William, Deborah and the late Rodney, much loved uncle of Mark and great-uncle of Abigail and Mollie. It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kate) Malone (née Feeney), November 7 2025 beloved wife of the late Tommy, 224 Tamnaherin Road, loving mother of Paul, Peter and Sean, mother-in-law (Mum) of Margaret and Claire, most loved granny in the world of Adam and Michael, dear sister of Eileen, Barney Jacqueline and the late Margaret, Patrick, Claire and Mary-Ann and a much loved sister-in-law and aunt. Kate will be reposing in her home from 1.00pm - 10.00pm on Saturday and 12noon - 10.00pm on Sunday. Funeral from there on Monday at 11.30am for 12o'clock Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

George Robert Parke, 18 Dellwood, Eglinton

The death has occurred of George Robert Parke, November 7 2025, Peacefully at his home, 18 Dellwood, Eglinton, (surrounded by his loving family in his 80th year) much loved and devoted husband of Valerie, precious dad of Jeffrey, Melanie and Lynsey, loving father-in-law of Lindsay, Paul and Aaron, adored granda of McKenzie, Harris, Grace, Emma, Ben and Jessica, a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral leaving his late home on Sunday, November 9 at 2.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in St Canice’s Parish Church, at 3.00pm burial afterwards in adjoining Churchyard. The death has taken place of John Shaw (Magherafelt), November 6 2025, suddenly, late of 6a Grange Lane, Magherafelt. Beloved husband of Martina and loving father of Claire, Cathal, Ciara and the late baby Catherine. Son of the late Peter and Annie Shaw and dear brother of Margaret, Anne, Bell, Marie, Gabriel and Breege. Funeral arrangements later. St Joseph pray for him. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, son, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. The wake for John has not yet commenced.
