William Brown, 40 Megargy Road, Magherafelt

The death has taken place of William Brown, November 3 2025, (suddenly) at his home, 40 Megargy Road, Magherafelt, dearly beloved and devoted husband of Mary, much loved father of Ronald, Wesley and David, dear father-in-law of Lisa and Gillian, loving granda of Jonathan, Daniel, Amy, Ellie and Joel and dearest brother of Cecil, and the late Tommy, Jean and Roberta. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP on Tuesday evening (November 4) from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. A service of thanksgiving will take place on Wednesday (November 4) at 2:00pm at Calvary Free Presbyterian Church, Magherafelt. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Chest Heart and Stroke payable to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donation’s A/c). Always loved and remembered by his family and the entire family circle.“At home with the Lord.”

Samuel (Sammy) Canning, 1 Abbots Walk, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Samuel (Sammy) Canning, November 3 2025, peacefully at home, 1 Abbots Walk. Beloved husband of Alice. Loving father of Don, Alison, Robert, Sammy, Rory and Shane. Much loved grandfather of Caolan, Ben, Aaron, Emy, Dillon and Faela. Sammy will be reposing at his family home. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.20am to St Columba's church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Robert Graham, 21 Mill Court, Garvagh

The death has taken place of Robert Graham, November 3 2025, at home, 21 Mill Court, Garvagh. Robert, dearly loved husband of Wendy, loving brother of Margaret, Eileen, Maurice and Russell and a much loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. House strictly private at his own request. Service of Thanksgiving in Ringsend Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 1.00pm, following a private family committal. Family flowers only please. Lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Stephanie Gregory (née Power), Derry

The death has occurred of the late Stephanie Gregory (née Power), October 6 2025, peacefully at St. John’s Hospice, Bebington, Wirral, Liverpool, (formerly of Ardanlee, Culmore), beloved wife of Gareth, loving mother of her little sleeping angel Olivia, cherished daughter of Benny and Nuala Power, dear and loving sister of Orla, Shaun Paul, Patrick, William, Jeffery and Conor and a devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and all her friends. Stephanie’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12:00noon on Thursday, November 6 in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.

Elizabeth (Betty) Haslett (née McMorris), 5 Ross Bay, Limavady Road, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Haslett (née McMorris), November 1 2025, Peacefully at her daughter Joan’s home “Dunnfield House“, 93 Ballykelly Road, Ballykelly, formerly of 5 Ross Bay, Limavady Road. Much loved wife of the late Holmes, devoted mother of Keith and Joan, loving mother-in-law of Michael and the late Lynne, adored granny of Annika, Rowena, Sarah, Ruth, Rachael and a great-granny to 10 great-grandchildren, dearest sister of Avril Moore (Lincolnshire). Private committal service will take place on Wednesday, November 5 at 1.00pm followed by a Memorial Service for her life in St. Columb’s Cathedral at 2.00pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired (cheques made payable to St. Columb’s Cathedral ) c/o “The Deanery” 30, Bishop Street, Derry BT48 6PP. “At rest with the Lord “

Cathal Moore, 27 Peters Road, Dungiven

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Cathal Moore suddenly on November 2 2025, may he rest in peace. Late of 27 Peters Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Loving son of Rosemary and Liam. Will be sadly missed by his loving children Darragh and Fiadh and their mother Sharleen. Dear brother of Gavin, Dean, John Paul, Caoimhe and the late Christopher, infant Shane and baby Joseph. Grandson of Susan and the late James Irwin RIP and Mary and the late John Moore RIP. Partner of Blaithin. Very deeply regretted by his Godparents Susan McCallion and Robert Brown, aunts, uncles, cousins and the entire family circle.
