Thomas (Tommie) Clarke, 31 Lisnamuck Road, Tobermore

The death has taken place of the late Thomas (Tommie) Clarke, October 17 2025, (peacefully) at Drapersfield House, dearly loved Husband of the late Jinnie, 31 Lisnamuck Road, Tobermore, much loved Father of Garry, a dear Father-in-Law of Diane, loving Granda of Phillip and Luke, dearest Brother of the late Jim, Mary, Martha, Elizabeth, John, Sammy, Kathleen, Ethel and Raymond and a dear Brother-in-Law, Uncle and Friend. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Sunday evening (October 19) from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Tommie's Life will take place in D. Watters Funeral Home on Monday, October 20 at 12noon, followed by burial in Kilcronaghan Parish Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cancer Research and Alzheimer's Society, can be made online or payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore Magherafelt BT45 5PP. Margaret McCarron (née Doherty), 2 Manse Farm, Fir Road, Ballyarnett, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Margaret McCarron (née Doherty), October 17 2025, beloved wife of Charles, 2 Manse Farm, Fir Road, Ballyarnett, loving mother of Peter, Mark and Cathal, mother-in-law of Angela and Bronagh, much loved grandmother of Luke, Ben, Oran, Sophie and Harry and dear sister of David, Eugene, Veronica and the late Michael, Patrick, Mary, Tony, Katie, Colm, John, Bernie, Teresa and Kieran. Margaret will be reposing in her home from 3.00pm – 9.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cockhill, Buncrana. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Gary McClean, 9 Mountain View, Waterside, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary McClean, suddenly in Zaragoza, Spain. Late of 9 Mountain View, Waterside, Derry. May he rest in peace. Loving father of Maddison. Devoted husband of Michelle. Dearest brother of Ann, Paula, Alan, Tina and Lisa. A dear son of the late Eugene and Mary. A much loved uncle, son-in-law and brother-in-law. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Funeral Arrangements Later. Eric McNeill, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Eric McNeill, October 15 2025, at Altnagelvin Hospital, loving father of Christian, Kerryanne and the late baby Shaun, devoted grandfather of Aoife, Ethan, Cararose and Cavan and great-grandfather of Rosa and Noah, cherished brother of Jim, Grace, Kenneth and the late Joyce and Ronnie. Eric will be sadly missed by Roisin, his friends and the wider family circle. Eric will be reposing in Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Chapel on Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 19 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Monday, October 20 at 9:30am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Mary O'Connell, West Avenue, Portstewart

The death has occurred of the late Mary O'Connell, passed away peacefully on October 16 2025, West Avenue, Portstewart. Sister of the late William O'Connell, Gemma O'Connell, Anne Harris and Agatha Hurrell. Loving aunt to her nephews, nieces, grand nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held in St Mary's Star of the Sea Portstewart on Saturday, October 18 at 1:30pm followed by burial in St Mary's Ballerin BT51 5EQ. Our Lady of Lourdes Pray For Her.

 

Vola Scullion (née Doyle), 29 Tamlaghtduff Park, Bellaghy

The death has taken place of Vola Scullion (née Doyle), October 16 2025, beloved wife of Martin and loving mother of Paul (Jacqui), Bronagh Currie (Joe), Gerard (Julie) and Aine Coyle (Martin), daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Doyle and dear sister of Tommy Joe, Kathleen McCallion, Mary McCartney and the late Bernadette Mullin and Anne Diamond. Funeral from her home 29 Tamlaghtduff Park, Maghera on Saturday, October 18 at 2.00pm for 2.30pm for Requiem Mass in Church of St Mary Bellaghy, via webcam St Mary Bellaghy, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her husband, sons, daughters, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.

 

Helen Simpson (née Kelly), Pine Trees, Lower Galliagh, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Helen Simpson (née Kelly), October 15 2025, late of Brooklands Care Home and formerly of Pine Trees, Lower Galliagh, beloved wife of the late Alan, loving mother of Kelly and Gary, adored granny of Alana, Skye, Jason, Darren and Deri, dear sister of Marie and the late Rex and Paddy and a much loved aunt. Helen will be reposing in her niece’s home, 6 The Fairways, Dunwood Park. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.20am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time from 9.00pm – 12noon please.
