Shauna Gent (née Hegarty), 74 Canterbury Park, Derry
It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Shauna Gent (née Hegarty), October 8 2025, peacefully at home, beloved partner of Graham and wife of the late Stephen, loving mother of Katelyn and step-mother of Corey, cherished daughter of the late Willie and Sadie Hegarty, much loved sister of Leanne and Jenna, sister-in-law of Keith and Craig, daughter-in-law of Marion, John and Pearl and auntie of Jai, Hari, Kason and Maddison. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 74 Canterbury Park. Funeral from there on Saturday at 11.20am for 12o'clock service in WJ O'Brien and Son's Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU. A private cremation will take place later. Family time please from 9.00pm to 12noon. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of the late John (Speedy) McDaid, October 9 2025, Peacefully at Foyle Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Doreen. Devoted father of John-David. Dear son of the late John and Joyce McDaid. Much loved brother of Drew. Loving uncle and great uncle. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Funeral from his home; 80 Connell Street, Limavady on Saturday, October 11 at 1:30pm for service in Christ Church Main Street Limavady at 2.00pm followed by burial in adjoining graveyard. Family and friends welcome to call at her daughter Tracey’s residence, 158 Mayogall Road, on Friday from 12noon to 9.00pm. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family Patsy R.I.P. beloved mother of Seoirse, Ann (Johnston), Claire (Martin), Tracey, Liam, Paul, Lisa (Gregg) and the late Julie (O’Kane), dear mother-in-law of Margaret, Kevin, Damien, Evelyn, Denise, Gary and Barry and a much adored Granny and Great Granny. Daughter of the late George and Annie Mullan and dear sister of Geordie, Kevin, Marian (Bradley) and the late Greta, Jim, Rosemary, Sadie, Sheila, Josephine and Peter. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11 2025 at 12noon in St. Joseph’s Church, Glenullin.
