Rosaleen Knights (née Harrison), 32 Northland Drive, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Rosaleen Knights (née Harrison), September 22 2025, peacefully, after a short illness, at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Michael (Mick), loving mother of Kerry and Kristel, dear mother-in-law of Conal and Chris, devoted grandmother of Kelsey, Phoebe, Zack, Cindy and Finn, dear daughter of the late Davy and May Harrison, cherished sister of Colm and the late Tony and Bernadette and a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Rose will be reposing at her home, 32 Northland Drive, on Tuesday, September 23 from 5:00pm. Family time please from 9:00pm to 12:00noon. Funeral leaving there on Thursday, September 25 at 10:50am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Fatima intercede for her.

 

Isobel McDonagh, Coleraine

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Isobel McDonagh, September 20 2025, peacefully at The Cottage Care Home, Coleraine with family at her side. Much loved wife of the late Donald, loving mother of Stephen, Janet and Ruth, mother-in-law to Valerie, adored and much-loved granny to Niall, Downey, Chris and great-granny to Fódhla. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place in Coleraine Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 1 2025 at 11.00am. Cremation to follow at Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium at 3.00pm. Family flowers only, please. Vincent McGarvey, Castlerock

The death has taken place of Vincent McGarvey, September 22 2025, peacefully at Rushall Care Home, Limavady and formerly of Castlerock, loving father of John, father-in-law of Carol, a cherished grandfather, son of the late Mary and Frank and brother of the late Paddy, Anthony, Mark, John and Madeline and a much loved uncle. Vincent’s remains will be reposing in his nephew’s home, 24 Ballyhackett Lane, Castlerock on Wednesday from 6.00pm – 10.00pm and on Thursday from 12noon – 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.20am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St John’s Church Coleraine. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to NI Air Ambulance. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Anne O'Doherty (née Meehan), Derry

The death has occurred of the late Anne O'Doherty (née Meehan), September 22 2025, peacefully at Daleview Care Home, beloved wife of the late Tommy, formerly of Prehen Park, loving mother of Michael, Paul, Mark, Jane, Barbara and Sarah, a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear sister of the late Joseph Meehan (Sligo). Her remains will be reposing in her son’s home, 37 Bayswater, on Wednesday from 4.00pm – 9.00pm. Funeral from there on Thursday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Hugh Andy O’Neill, 36 Brookmount Road, Loup

The death has taken place of the late Hugh Andy O’Neill, suddenly on September 22 2025, Brookmount Road, Loup, dearly beloved husband of the late Philomena, much loved father of Donna, Julia (Mulholland), Adrian & the late Mary & Damian who died in infancy, son of the late Mary and Barney, brother of Mary Bridget, Christina, Teresa, Bernadette and Marie His remains will be removed from his late residence at 36 Brookmount Road on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinderry for 11.00am Requiem Mass. Interment immediately afterwards in St. MacNisssi’s Cemetery, Randalstown. On his soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing, daughters, son, son-in-law Brendan Mullholland, daughter-in-law Vicky O’Neill, grandchildren Amy, Damian, Molly, Ellie, Chloe & Cillian and wider family circle.

 

Charlotte Alena (Ena) Scott (née Stewart), 6 Hillmount Crescent, Tobermore

The death has occurred of the late Charlotte Alena (Ena) Scott (née Stewart), September 23 2025, (peacefully) at The Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital, dearly loved Wife of Robert, 6 Hillmount Crescent, Tobermore, much loved Mum of Clive, Stephanie and Philip, a loving Mother-in-Law of Janet, Tom and Wendy, devoted Nanny of Stephen, Jeff, Clare, Sarah, Andrew, Ethan, Shannon, Alex, Katie, Andrew, Beth, Hannah and Jessie, Great Nanny of Anna, Daniel, Thomas, Beth, Nathaniel, Nehemiah, Faith, Harry and Louie and dearest Sister of Sadie, Bert, William, Ivan, Tom, David, Rene and the late Sylvia, Gordon, Henry and Joyce. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Wednesday evening (September 24) from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Ena's Life will take place in Tobermore Presbyterian Church (kindly granted) on Thursday, September 25 at 2:00pm, preceded by a private Family burial. It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Sarah (Sadie) Sellers (née McNair), September 23 2025, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) much loved mum of Tony, John. Sean and Mickey, adored granny of Stephen, Samantha, David, Melissa, Eden, Max, Phoebe, Lee and Ashley, great-granny of Alfie, Ruby, Harrison, Farrah, Brandon, Charlie, Korra and Remi. Service of Thanksgiving in D. & R. Hay & Sons, Funeral Home, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Saturday, September 27 at 10.00am followed by Cremation in Lakeland’s Crematorium, Cavan at 1.30pm. Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home on Friday from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle. “Peace is yours, memories ours“

 

David J (Davey) Watton, 58 Shellbridge Park, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late David J (Davey) Watton, September 21 2025, (peacefully) at hospital, surrounded by his loving family, 58 Shellbridge Park, Coleraine, dearly beloved husband of Caroline, devoted dad of Kellie, Nikki and Erin, father-in-law to Mark and Colin, adored granda of Emily, Finlay, Rheegan, Darcy, Niamh, Ethan and Theia and a beloved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2a Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Friday at 12.00noon. A private cremation will take place at a later date. Family and friends welcome at the family home. Family flowers only please.
