The death has occurred of the late Yvonne Doherty, August 15 2025, suddenly at her home, 1 Woodlands Avenue, Culmore, loving mother of Connlaoth, Ellen and Alex, beloved daughter of John L and Kitty, cherished sister of Feargal and Cathir. Funeral arrangements later. Loving and Loved.

Laura O'Malley (née Duddy), Derry

The death has taken place of Laura O'Malley (née Duddy), August 14 2025, formerly of Chesterfield, England and Lecky Road, Derry, beloved wife of the late Walter, loving mother of Paul, Christina, Eamonn and the late Derek, devoted grandmother of Joshua, Harriet, Paige, Natalie, Lucy and David, cherished great-grandmother of Lenny and Harrison and dear sister of Dominic, Tony, Malachy, Eugene, Martin, Noel, Paul, Mary, Rosaleen and the late Patsy, Seamus, Susan, Michael and Brendan. Laura's remains will be reposing in her brother's home, 47 Ardnamoyle Park. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid's Church, Carnhill. A private cremation will take place at a later time. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Brian Scott, 38 Duntibryan Road, Draperstown

The death has taken place of Brian Scott, August 16 2025, (peacefully) at his home, 38 Duntibryan Road, Draperstown, precious Husband of Sandra, much loved Father of Samantha, Trevor and Melvin, loving Father-in-Law of Nigel, Fidelma and Nichola, much adored Granda (Da) of John, Ethan, Jenson, Matthew, Jake, Sofia, Charlie, Ella, Jack and the late Amber, dearest Brother of Tommy and Isobel and a beloved Brother-in-Law, Uncle and Great Uncle. Ann Marie Smith (née Kelly), Hastings (Formerly of Derry)

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Ann Marie Smith (née Kelly), July 27 2025, peacefully at Conquest Hospital, Hastings, beloved wife of Christopher, loving mother of Nathan, Cairbre and Adam, devoted grandmother of Cairbre og and Austin, cherished daughter of the late Rose and Charlie Kelly (Westland Avenue), dear sister of Catherine, Rosemary, John, Raymond, Noel, Adrian, Richard and the late Jimmy and William and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Monday, August 18 2025 from 4.30pm – 6.00pm. Her remains will then be removed to St Eugene’s Cathedral to repose overnight. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19 2025 at 10o’clock. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

James Todd, Tobermore

The death has occurred of the late James Todd, August 14 2025, passed away peacefully in hospital. Dearest Son of Jean and the late Alec Todd (Tobermore), dear Brother of Trevor, Gary, Anne and Judith and Brother-in-Law of Veronica and the late Elizabeth and Brian. Loving memories.

Ian Young, Coleraine

The death has taken place of Ian Young, August 15 2025, very peacefully after a short illness in Causeway Hospital, survived by his wife Ruby, son Neil, daughter-in-law Janet, grandson Caleb, sisters Vie, Wendy, Maureen and brother Alan.
