Kieran Doherty, Derry

The death has taken place of Kieran Doherty, August 16 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, loving father of Megan, Katie, Adam and Mia, a devoted grandfather, beloved son of Matt and the late Kathleen, dear brother of Cathy, Martin, Dee and Paul, and a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and all his friends. Kieran will be reposing at his brother Martin’s home, 41 Tranarossan Avenue, Foyle Springs. Funeral leaving there on Tuesday, August 19 at 9:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.

Jennifer Harvey, 6 Cottage Row, Eglinton

The death has taken place of the late Jennifer Harvey, August 17 2025, peacefully at Ardlough Nursing home, late of 6 Cottage Row, Eglinton. Beloved daughter of the late Bobby and Sadie, loving sister of Ina, Gwendoline, Pamela and the late Norman, Dorothy, Pearl and Adrienne. Funeral leaving her home, 6 Cottage Row, at 1.30pm for 2.00pm Service in St Canice's Parish Church on Wednesday, August 20, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu, if wished, to: Ardlough Nursing home, Ardlough Road, or A Space 2, 11 Campsie business Park BT4 73XX. Deeply regretted by her loving family circle. Jim Sheerin, 3 Leafair Gardens, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Jim Sheerin, August 15 2025, Suddenly at his home, 3 Leafair Gardens, loving partner of the late Louise and dear brother Maisie, Bernie, John, Paul, Helen, Patricia and the late Phidelma, Olivia, Bill and Christy. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Mary Margaret Thompson (née Peoples), 32 Kinsale Park, Caw

The death has occurred of the late Mary Margaret Thompson (née Peoples), August 17, 2025, Peacefully at home, (32 Kinsale Park, Caw, surrounded by her loving family after a short illness) dear wife of Lowry, much loved mother of Bessie, Richard and the late Graham, adored granny of Zara, Courtney, Callum, Simone, Justin and Jack, a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Service of Thanksgiving in her late home on Tuesday, August 19 at 11.00am, followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery.
