Brian Joseph Conn, 28 Tully Road, Tamlaght, Limavady

The death has taken place of the late Brian Joseph Conn, July 27 2025, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, 28 Tully Road, Tamlaght, Limavady, dearly beloved son of Margaret and the late Victor, much loved brother of Ann, dear brother-in-law of Philip and beloved uncle of James and Ross. Service of Thanksgiving in Balteagh Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 1.30pm. House private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if, desired to Balteagh Presbyterian Church Building Fund c/o James McMullan and Son, 22 High Street, Ballymoney, BT53 6AQ or online at mcmullanfunerals.com. Sadly missed by his sorrowing family and entire family circle. "At Home with the Lord."

 

Joseph (Joe) Davies, Limavady Road, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Joseph (Joe) Davies, July 28 2025, passed peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, Late of Limavady Road, Derry, (formerly of Drogheda, Co Louth) and Solicitor in Buncrana. Beloved son of the late John and Rosin, loving brother of Seamus, Karl and John, brother-in-law of Patti, Bernadette and Edel and much loved uncle of Eleanor, John-Paul, Brian, James, Katie, Lauren, Isabella and cousin Bobby. Sadly missed by relatives, dear friends and work colleagues. Reposing at W J O'Brien & Son's Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Thursday and Friday from 5.00pm - 7.00pm. Funeral service will take place there on Saturday at 1.00pm. A private cremation will take place later. No flowers please. Donations can be made in Joe's memory to a cancer charity of your choice.

 

Jimmy Dempsey, Portnahapple, Portstewart

The death has taken place of Jimmy Dempsey, (Portstewart) peacefully at his home (Portnahapple) surrounded by his family, beloved husband of Barbara and devoted father of Nora, Paula, Sara and Barry, a dear grandfather, father in-law, and brother of Paddy and Josie (USA). Jimmy is reposing in Dempsey’s Funeral Home, 11 Coleraine Street, Kilrea where everyone is welcome to call on Wednesday from 2 00pm - 4.00pm and from 7.00pm - 9.00pm. Family home and cremation is strictly private. A thanksgiving memorial service for Jimmy will be held at 11.00am on Wednesday, August 6 at Strand Road Car Park (above Portnahapple). No flowers at his request. Donations in lieu of same to Marie Curie, Coleraine Yacht Club and RNLI. Please make cheques payable to Dempsey Funeral Directors. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle.

 

Josephine Christine (Chris) Millar, 127 Carnhill, Derry

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Josephine Christine (Chris) Millar, July 29 2025, Peacefully in Altnagelvin Hospital. Dearly beloved Wife of the late John. Devoted mother of John, Tony, Colin, Damien and the Late David. Dear mother-in-law of Isobel and Cathy. Loving Grandmother of Darragh and Cian. Funeral Leaving her late home, 127 Carnhill on Thursday, July 31 at 9.30am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St Bridget's Church Carnhill followed by burial in the City Cemetery. Charlotte (Lottie) Owen (née Ferson), 10 Westland Gardens, Magherafelt

The death has taken place of Charlotte (Lottie) Owen (née Ferson), July 29 2025, at the Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital, late of 10 Westland Gardens, Magherafelt, dearly loved and devoted mother of Julie, loving mother-in-law of Neil, cherished granny of James and Emily and dearest sister of Jean, Irene, Elizabeth, Philip, Jacqueline and the late Desmond, May, Samuel and Arthur. Family and friends welcome at her home. Funeral from her home on Thursday (July 31) at 1:15pm for service in First Magherafelt Presbyterian Church at 2:00pm followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Autism NI payable to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donation’s A/c), 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP. Derek James Steele, 106 Mountsandel Road, Coleraine

The death has taken place of Derek James Steele, passed away peacefully on July 26 2025, at home, 106 Mountsandel Road. Dearly loved husband of Ashley and the late Rachel, and devoted father to Christopher, his wife Nicola and step-daughters Sara, Clare and Jenny. Service in Kildollagh Parish Church on Thursday at 11.30am followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. Donations in lieu of flowers to Macmillan Cancer Support, (a charity Derek supported for many years) c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine.
