James Thomas (Jim) Boyd, 25 Glebe View Park, Garvagh

The death has taken place of the late James Thomas (Jim) Boyd, July 25 2025, (suddenly) at his home, 25 Glebe View Park, Garvagh, beloved husband of the late Wilma, dearly loved father of Sharon, Rodney and Lynda, dear father-in-law to Stuart and Holly, devoted grandfather of Caitlin, Kirsty and the late Scott and a loving brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral from his home on Sunday at 2.30pm for service in St. Paul’s Parish Church Garvagh at 3.00pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. Friends and family welcome at his home on Saturday between 6.00pm and 9.00pm. Family flowers only please. Danny Convery, Maghera

The death has taken place of the late Danny Convery (Maghera), July 25 2025, Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved husband of Rita (née Rogers). Devoted father of Dermot, Daniel, Pauline Mallon, Rose Oliver, Aileen O’Hagan. Loving grandfather of Aaron, Aoife, Joseph, Ethan, Dan, Eoghan, Ayda, Ciaran, Aislinn, Fionntan, Lauren, Orlagh, Dáire, Connla, Róise, Rita-May, Betty, Maisie and future grandchild. Son of the late Patrick and Rose and brother of Kate Doherty, Thomas and the late Joe, Pat, Helen Clarke, Rosella Crilly, Anthony, Sean and the late infant baby James. Funeral arrangements later. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sister, brother, sons-in-law Connor Mallon, Kevin Oliver, Liam O’Hagan, daughters-in-law Aisling and Andrea, nephews, nieces, and wider family circle.

Alexander (Alec) Coyle, London (formerly of Rosemount, Derry)

The death has taken place of Alexander (Alec) Coyle, July 4 2025, peacefully at hospital in London, (formerly of Lower Nassau Street, Rosemount) loving father of Sindy, Lisa, Sean-Paul, Kevin, Sinead and Charles and a loving and caring grandfather, dear son of the late Charles and Margaret, cherished brother of Daniel, John, Liam, Sinéad and the late Robert and Vincent. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Alec’s ashes will be reposing at his son’s home, 15 Auburn Terrace, Westland Street on Sunday, July 27 from 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving there on Monday, July 28 at 9:30am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

Teresa (Tess) Devine (née McGill), 219 Sallowilly Road, Killaloo, Claudy

The death has occurred of the late Teresa (Tess) Devine (née McGill), July 25 2025, beloved wife of late William Gerard, loving mother of Maureen, Teresa, Seamus, Liam and Clare, mother-in-law of Keith, Gerard and Mike, devoted grandmother of Michaela, Clodagh, Aisling, Liam, Declan, Niall, Ailish, Matthew and Emma and cherished great-grandmother of Aiobh & Eithne. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 219 Sallowilly Road, Killaloo, Claudy. Funeral from there on Sunday at 10.50am for 11.30am Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Claudy. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please from 9.00pm – 12noon. Queen of the Most Rosary pray for her. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.

Pat McPeake, 6 Glenelly Villas, Draperstown

The death has taken place of the late Pat McPeake, July 25 2025, (6 Glenelly Villas Draperstown), loving father of Daniel (Sinead), Lee-Anne (Neil), Laura (Lee), Chloe and Aimee, grandfather of Aoife and Rónán, son of the late Susan and James and dear brother of Roisin, James, Marie, Susan, Teresa, Joe, Gerard, Rita, Sean, Brendan, twin sister Martina, Peter, Colm, Una, Sharon, Christine, Claire and Eugene, and partner of Joanne. The death has occurred of the late Colm Francis Mulholland (Lavey), July 25 2025, Peacefully surrounded by his family at Magherafelt Manor Care Home. Formerly of 56 Gulladuff Road, Magherafelt, BT45 8NT. Beloved husband of the late Mairead and loving father of Don, Sinead Higgins, Martina O’Connor and Brid. Much loved grandfather of Catherine, Dan, Anna, Kate, Conall, Joe, Charlie, Michael, James, Don and Colm. Son of the late Dan and Elizabeth. Brother of Rosa Morris and Attracta Ferentinos and the late Ave, Eithne Rainey, Brian, Marie O’Donnell, Hubert and Dees. Colm is reposing in J. A.
