Bernard (Bun) Cassidy, 27 Halfgayne Road, Maghera

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard (Bun) Cassidy, July 5 2025, (peacefully at his late residence, 27 Halfgayne Road, Maghera), surrounded by his loving family), beloved husband of Anne, much loved father of Emma (Taggart), Brianna (McGillian), Cara, Shonagh, and loving brother of Sean, Una (O’Neill), Anne (McGlinchey), Claire (Graham), Pat, Mark, Declan and the late Thomas. Bernard’s wake will officially begin at his late residence on Sunday, July 6 at 1.00pm. His remains will leave from there on Tuesday, July 8 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St John the Baptist Church, Granaghan, burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. NB: Family time requested each day between 10.00pm and 11.00am. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, daughters, brothers, sisters, sons in law Gerry, James and Michael, brothers and sisters in law, grandchildren: Caoimhe, Eilís, Conn, Donnacha, Cahan and all the family circle. Marie Clarke, Portstewart

The death has occurred of the late Marie Clarke, July 5 2025, peacefully at Causeway Hospital, formerly of Portstewart. Dearly loved daughter of the late Alfred and Isobel, loving sister of the late Ronald, John and Jim. Service of Thanksgiving in Wades Funeral Home, Coleraine on Tuesday at 10.00am followed by interment in Agherton Cemetery. Donations, if wished, for Portstewart Baptist Church, c/o Hugh Wade and Son, 3 Upper Abbey Street, Coleraine, BT52 1BF or online at www.hughwadefuneraldirectors.com. Robert Connolly, Roe View Park, Limavady

The death has occurred of the late Robert Connolly, July 1 2025, as a result of an accident, formerly of Roe View Park, Limavady, beloved partner of Paula, loving father of Robert and Lynsey, father-in-law of Zara and Eunan, devoted grandfather of Somre, Peyton, Caolan, Ronan and Conor and a much loved brother and uncle. Robert will be be reposing in his son’s home, 27 Hawthorn Park, Greysteel, on Monday from 4.00pm - 9.00pm and Tuesday from 12noon - 9.00pm. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 2.30pm for funeral service in W J O’Brien and Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, at 3o’clock. Cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Thursday, July at 3o’clock. The Lord is my shepherd.

 

Patrick Vincent (Paddy) Kealey, 46 Ringsend Road, Limavady

Funeral arrangements for the late Patrick Vincent (Paddy) Kealey died July 4 2025 (Leck, Drumrammer). N.B. Everyone welcome to call at the family home, 46 Ringsend Road, Limavady today (Sunday) from 11.00am to 10.00pm. (Family time at other times.) Beloved husband of Dana (née Heaney). Loving father of Paul, Ann and Martina; a dear father-in-law and much loved granda. Son of the late Patrick & Mary and cherished brother of Sean, Mary Bridget, Martin and the late Nan and Kathleen. Funeral from his late residence, 46 Ringsend Road, on Monday at 12:15pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Limavady. (Requiem Mass can be viewed via the church webcam https://limavadyparish.org/). Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St Joseph pray for him. Family flowers only please. Martin McGuckin, 2b Ballyscullion Lane, Bellaghy

The death has occurred of the late Martin McGuckin (Bellaghy), July 4 2025, beloved husband of Emma (nee McGoldrick) and loving father of Nathan (Aislin), Luke (Bronagh) and Eva, grandfather of Noah and Ethan. Son of the late Noel and Margaret and dear brother of Peter, Geraldine (Ian) and Adrian. Funeral from his home, 2b Ballyscullion Lane, on Tuesday, July 8 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St Mary, via webcam St Marys Bellaghy, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, father in law Hugh, mother in law Mary, sister in law Laura (Gormley), brothers in law Odhran (Orla) and Niall, extended family circle and friends. The wake for Martin will commence at 12noon on Sunday, July 6 2025.

 

Paul Martin, 2 Woodlands Drive, Magherafelt

The death has taken place of Paul Martin (Magherafelt), July 4 2025, beloved husband of Monica (néé McGill) and loving father of Ryan (Claire) and Louise (Jamie), and grandfather of Luca, Cali, Ruby and Rayna, brother of Peter (Yvonne). Funeral from his home, 2 Woodlands Drive, on Monday, July 7 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of our Lady of the Assumption, via webcam Our Lady of the Assumption interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St. John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, son, daughter, son in law, daughter in law, grandchildren, brother, sister in law, and extended family circle. Patrick (Pat) Mullin, 2 Summerhill, Prehen, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Patrick (Pat) Mullin, July 4 2025, beloved husband of Jane, loving father of Colum, Francis, Zabrina, Gavin, Ciaran and Cathal, father-in-law of Margaret, Jade, Phill, Catherine, Emma and Vicki, a much loved grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Kathleen, Gabriel, Finbarr, Kevin, Marian, Bernadette, Patricia, Brenda and the late Colum and Charles. His remains will be reposing in his home, 2 Summerhill, Prehen, for family and close friends only on Sunday from 12noon – 9.00pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 11.25am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral. The death has occurred of the late Margaret Bella Porter (née Hamilton), July 5 2025, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, (in her 92nd year), dearly beloved Wife of the late Robert, 3 Rock Villas, Knockloughrim, devoted Mother of Heather and Aubrey, a dear Mother-in-Law of Ross, much adored Granny of Jenny (Andrew), Andrew and Catherine, Great Granny of Alfie and dearest Sister of the late Anna and Tillie.
