Gary Boyle, 6 Cherry Drive, Eglinton

The death has occurred of the late Gary Boyle, May 31 2025, loving son of Alice and the late Paddy, 6 Cherry Drive, Eglinton, dear brother of Lisa, Martin, Karen and J.P., much loved uncle of Emma, Dean, Katherine, Thomas, Holly, Adam, Anna, Kyrin and Zoe and beloved partner of Elaine. House private please. All are welcome to pay their respects at W.J. O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home on Monday from 6.00pm - 9.00pm. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Janet Chambers (née Riddell), 15B Tulnagee Road, Moneymore

The death has taken place of Janet Chambers (née Riddell), June 1 2025, (suddenly) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly loved Wife of George, 15B Tulnagee Road, Moneymore, devoted Mum of Rebecca (Jack), loving Daughter of John and the late Joy, dear Daughter-in-Law of Eileen and the late Grenville, much loved Sister of Julie and Jonathan, a beloved Sister-in-Law, Aunt and Great Aunt and a precious Friend of many. All welcome at the Family home on Monday (June 2) and Tuesday (June 3) from 12:30pm - 4:00pm and 7:30pm - 9:30pm. Funeral will take place from her home on Wednesday, June 4 at 12:15pm to St. John’s Parish Church, Moneymore for service at 1:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to St. John’s Parish Church Building Fund, can be made online or payable to D. Roxanne (Roxy) Dennison, 30 Sperrin Road, Limavady

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Roxanne (Roxy) Dennison, Passed away peacefully in Foyle Hospice surrounded by her loving family May 31 2025. Sadly missed by her children Faith, AJ and Daisy and their late Father Adrian. Daughter of Diane Dennison and the late Peter Cudmore, and Stepdaughter of Patrick Dennison. Partner of Graham. Dear sister of Nicki, Barry (Baz), Wayne, Kerri, Hope and Summer. Also a Loving Auntie and great Auntie to all her nieces and nephews. All welcome to call and pay respects at her late home, 30 Sperrin Road, Limavady. Funeral Service will be held in her home on Tuesday, June 3 2025 at 11.00am, followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 12noon. All welcome. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed b y her entire family circle.

 

Hugh Brian Doherty, 43 Creevagh Road, Derry

The death has taken place of Hugh Brian Doherty, May 31 2025, peacefully at his home, 43 Creevagh Road, dear husband of Kathleen, loving father of Grainne, Roisin, Bobby and Aine, devoted grandfather to Cara, Riley, and Thomas, son of the late Paddy and Eileen, and a cherished brother of his brothers and sisters. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Hugh will be reposing at his home. Funeral leaving there on Tuesday, June 3 at 9:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please each morning until 11:00am. Gerry Friel, 72 Ballyarnett Village, Derry

The death has taken place of Gerry Friel, June 1 2025, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of Gerard, John, Michael, Clare and Brian, devoted grandfather of Emma, Grace, Anna, Patrick, Aisling, Tommy Max, Tom, Conor and Charlie, great-grandfather of Jack, Emily, Caragh and Florence and dear brother of John, Brendan and the late Mary and Tony. Gerry’s wake will take place in his home, 72 Ballyarnett Village, on Monday and Tuesday from 12noon – 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment later with his late wife Phyllis in Milltown Cemetery, Belfast. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Annie Elizabeth McGeagh (née Pollock), 44 Cavanreagh Road, Draperstown

The death has occurred of the late Annie Elizabeth McGeagh (née Pollock), May 31 2025, (peacefully) at Magherafelt Manor Nursing Home, dearly beloved Wife of George, 44 Cavanreagh Road, Draperstown, much loved Mother of Diane, Richard, Rodney, Stephen and Louise, loving Mother-in-Law of Nick, Janice, Pamela, Ruth and Ady, devoted Granny of Saskia, Sankara, Jonah, Andrew, Beth, Ross, Alfie, Alana, Adam, Aaron and Samuel and dearest Sister of Robert, Cecil, Iris, Jean, Joan, Isobel and the late Mervyn and Maureen. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Monday evening (June 2) from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Annie's Life will take place in Tobermore Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 3 at 1:00pm, followed by a private Family burial. Family flowers only please. Mary McGowan (née Braid), 17 Eastway Gardens, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Mary McGowan (née Braid), May 31 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late George, loving mother of Paul and the late Geraldine and Patrick, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and a cherished sister of Rosaleen and the deceased members of the Braid family. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and her many friends. Mary will be reposing at her home, 17 Eastway Gardens. Funeral leaving there on Tuesday, June 3 at 11:30am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 12:00noon. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The death has taken place of Darren Strawbridge, June 1 2025, Suddenly at his home; 38 Riverview, Ballykelly. Beloved son of James and Josephine. Dear brother of Jacqueline and Ryan. Loving partner of Gordon. Much loved uncle of Steven, Zara, Mark, Shane, Daniel and Lauren. Great uncle of Tori and Loki. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. House strictly private please.
