June Annett (née Hill), Canada (formerly of Articlace, Co Derry)

The death has occurred of the late June Annett (née Hill), April 5 2025, peacefully in hospital, Vancouver, Canada and formerly of Articlave, Co Derry devoted wife of Mervyn, a much loved sister of Robert and beloved sister in law, aunt and cousin. Formerly medical stenographer at Coleraine Hospital 1966 to 1982 before emigrating to Canada. Service of thanksgiving for her life will be held at First Garvagh Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 29 at 11.00am followed by interment in adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired and cheques made payable to NI Pancreatic Cancer (NIPANC) c/o Clyde Funeral Directors, 24 Mettican Road, Garvagh BT515HS. Very deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by Mervyn and the entire family circle. ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’

 

Charlotte Bonner (née Kivlehan), 286 Carnhill, Derry

The death has taken place of Charlotte Bonner (née Kivlehan), May 15 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of West End Terrace), beloved mother of James, Suzanne and the late Charlotte, devoted grandmother of Gary, Sean, Steven, Kayla and Hannah and great-grandmother of Éabha, dear daughter of the late James and Charlotte, cherished sister of Willie, Michael, Noel, Mona and the late Jimmy and Frank and a dear and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by Jimmy and the wider family circle. Charlotte will be reposing at her home, 286 Carnhill. Family time please from 10:00pm to 10:00am. Funeral leaving her home on Saturday, May 17 at 10:20am to St. Brigid’s Church, Carnhill for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her. Servant of God, Sr. Clare pray for her.

 

John Derges, 12 Brookdale Park, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of John Derges, May 14 2025, Peacefully at home. Beloved Husband of Mary and Loving Father of Michelle, John, Paul and Kerry. Dear Father-in-law of Christine, Clare, Leon and Kellie. A much loved Grandfather of Harry, Emily and Celia. Funeral from his home, 12 Brookdale Park on Saturday, May 17 2025 at 9:30am to Saint Joseph's Church, Galliagh for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on his soul. House private please from 10.00pm to 12noon.

 

Paul Diamond, “Sil-Sila” 58 Culmore Road, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Paul Diamond, May 11 2025, beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Niall and Gerard, father-in-law of Kerrie, devoted grandfather of Anna, Rowan and Paul, dear brother of Attracta and Thomas, cherished brother-in-law of Sean O’Callaghan and Charlie Harkin, a much-loved uncle and friend to so many. Paul will be reposing in his home, “Sil-Sila” 58 Culmore Road, on Monday and Tuesday from 11.00am to 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Parking for the wake will be available in the grounds of St Peter’s Church, opposite the family home. No flowers please. Robert (Bobby) Villa, Birmingham (formerly of Derry)

The death has taken place of Robert (Bobby) Villa, April 13 2025, suddenly in Birmingham, England, (formerly of Marlborough Terrace and Cromore Gardens), partner of Jaine, loving father of Caroline, dear son of the late Patrick and Rose, cherished brother of Denis, Charlie, Pat, Rosemary and the late Teresa and Peter. Dearly loved and will sadly missed by the wider family circle and his friends. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Eugene’s Cathedral on Saturday, May 17 at 11:30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Chad Wylie, Ballinaska Heights, Derry

The death has occurred of Chad Wylie, May 10 2025, peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, at Royal Victoria Hospital, (late of Ballinaska Heights), loving father of Amelia, dear son of the late Helen and Stephen, cherished nephew of David and Louise, devoted cousin of Aaron and Emma and a dear friend of Amber, Caolán, Aoife, Bronagh and Chiron. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Chad will be reposing at Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Friday, May 16 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Funeral leaving there on Saturday, May 17 at 9:20am to St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Road for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if wished, to Royal Victoria Hospital (I.C.U.), 274 Grosvenor Road, Belfast, BT12 6BA. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
