Sarah Elizabeth (Cissie) Graham (née Brownlow), 10 Drumbolg Road, Culnady

The death has taken place of the late Sarah Elizabeth (Cissie) Graham (née Brownlow), April 18 2025, (peacefully) at her Daughter's home, dearly beloved Wife of the late Joe, 10 Drumbolg Road, Culnady, much loved Mother of Joe, Elizabeth and Shirley, a loving Mother-in-Law of Patricia, Billy and Paul, a devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother and a dear Sister. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore, on Sunday, April 20 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Cissie's Life will take place in Culnady Presbyterian Church on Monday, April 21 at 1:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Lovingly remembered by her sorrowing Family and the entire Family Circle. Martin Heaney, 20 Church Street, Magherafelt

It is with regret we announce the passing of Martin Heaney (Magherafelt), April 18 2025, beloved husband of Leonie and loving father of Martina, Kieran and Gerard, son of the late Alfie and Mamie and dear brother of Angela (McCaffrey) and the late Cecilia, Bernie, Philomena, Joe, Agnes, Maria and infants Gerard and Colette. Funeral from his home, 20 Church Street on Monday, April 21 for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption Magherafelt, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St John Milltown Magherafelt. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughter, sons, son in law Rory, daughter in law Bronagh, Pauline, grandchildren Nathan, Natasha, Matthew, Danielle, Caleb, Tommy, Killian, Kaitlyn, Great grandchildren Miguel, Gabriela, Brodie, Charlie, Carter, Brea and Jaxson, sister nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am. The wake for Martin will commence at 5.00pm on Saturday April 19.

 

Imelda Hinfey, 10 King Street, Magherafelt

The death has occurred of the late Imelda Hinfey, April 18 2025, beloved daughter of the late Charles and Jennie and loving sister of Mary, Annie and the late Sean and Charlie. Removal from her home, 10 King Street, Magherafelt on Sunday, April 20 at 3.30pm arriving Church of St. Trea Newbridge at 4.00pm. Requiem Mass on Monday, April 21 at 2.00pm. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her sisters, sister in law Patricia, nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family circle.

 

Brendan McDaid, 7 Abbots Walk, Derry

The death has taken place of Brendan McDaid, April 17 2025, suddenly at his home, 7 Abbots Walk, loving father of Taneshia, Grandfather of Rossa, Beloved son of the Late Raymond and Anna, much loved brother of Gerard, Margo, Daniel, Fergal, Billy, Cathy, Grainne and the Late Richard, Michael and Jacqueline,  dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all his neices and nephews. Brendan will be reposing at his home. Funeral from there on Monday at 10.50am to St Columba’s Church Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all his Family Circle and everyone that knew him. Sacred heart of Jesus has mercy on his soul. Our lady of knock pray for him.

 

Lisa McGonigle (née O'Hara), 30 Vale Road, Greysteel

The death has taken place of Lisa McGonigle (née O'Hara), April 18 2025, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, beloved wife of Christopher, 30 Vale Road, Greysteel, loving mother of Cara, Joe and Lucy, cherished daughter of Eugene and Helen, much loved sister of Darren, Ciaran and Claire and a very dear daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt. All are welcome to pay their respects at W J O'Brien & Son's Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU on Saturday from 2.00pm - 4.00pm. House then restricted to family and close friends only please. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale on Monday at 10.30am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. Sister Claire intercede for her.

 

Angela McLaughlin (née McGilloway), 12 Deanery Street, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela McLaughlin née McGilloway, peacefully at home on April 18 2025. Late of 12 Deanery Street and formerly of South End Park. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of the late Eugene (Slim). Devoted mother of Eugene and Seán. Dearest mother-in-law of Christine and Michaela. Loving grandmother of Lauren, Liam, Danielle, Amy and Ava. Precious great-grandmother of Daniel and Molly. Beloved daughter of the late Bobby (Speedy) and Jinny. A much loved sister of Danny, Seamus, Mona, Frances and the late Bobby and Bernadette. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Angela’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 12 Deanery Street. Funeral leaving from there on Monday, April 21 at 9:20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. A Cremation Service will then take place afterwards at 2.00pm in Lakeland’s Crematorium, Co. Cavan. Everyone welcome. Wake house will be private from 10.00pm until 11.00am. Daniel Mullan, 122 Good Shepherd Glen, Derry (Formerly of Dungiven)

The death has taken place of the late Daniel Mullan, April 17 2025, 122 Good Shepherd Glen, Derry and formerly of Dungiven. Much loved partner of Amber, loving father of Jasper, cherished son of Rosaleen and the late Patrick Mullan, dearly loved brother of Ciaran, Patricia, Geraldine, Sean, Conor, Cahir, Brian, Martin, Brendan and Leanne. Reposing at the family home, 22 Pellipar Park, Dungiven on Saturday (April 19) from 12noon. Funeral leaving the family home on Monday (April 21) at 10.15am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Dungiven at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken partner, son, mum, brothers, sisters and extended family circle. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the Parish Webcam: https://mcn.live/Camera/church-of-st-patrick

 

Noel Sharkey, 20 Woodside Road, Derry

The death has taken place of Noel Sharkey, April 18 2025, peacefully, after a short illness, at Altnagelvin Hospital, NOEL (formerly of Strand Road), beloved husband of Josepine, loving father of Michael, Robert, Ruth, Aaron, Owen, Thomas, John and the late baby Peter, dear father-in-law to Rosyln, Mike, Caoimhe, Kiera, Sian and Rachael, a devoted grandfather and a cherished brother of Gerald, Tom, Eileen, Collette, Benny and the late Mary and Raymond. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Noel will be reposing at his home, 20 Woodside Road. Family time please from 10:00pm to 10:00am. Funeral leaving his home at 11:20am on Monday, April 21 to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road for Requiem Mass at 12:00noon. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Margaret Stewart (née Crumlish), Derry

The death has taken place of the late Margaret Stewart (née Crumlish), April 17 2025, beloved wife of the late Pat, formerly of Prehen, loving mother of Leonard, Gerard, Patrick, Caroline and Jacqueline, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Pius, Michael and the late Eileen, Sheila and Sean. Her remains will be reposing in her brother’s home, 17 Dunfield Terrace. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10o’clock for funeral service in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower at 10.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Edith Wisener, Fort Crescent, Coleraine

The death has occurred of the late Edith Wisener, April 10 2025, (peacefully) at her daughter’s home in Winchester, late of Fort Crescent, Coleraine, dearly beloved wife of the late Noel, much loved mother of Noeleen, John, Trevor, Harry and Ruth and a dear mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Service in St Patricks Parish Church on Wednesday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired for Marie Curie Nurses or Macmillan Nurses c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Sadly missed by her loving family and entire family circle.
