Charles Richard Brannen, 20 Dennet Gardens, Irish Street, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Charles Richard Brannen, April 11 2025, Peacefully at his home, 20 Dennet Gardens, Irish Street, (surrounded by his loving family in his 66th year) much loved and devoted husband of Linda, loving dad of Susan and Amy and partner Stuart, adored Granda of wee Richard, Lauryn, Gracie-Lynn, Aria and Ava, precious, brother, of Helen, Melanie and the late May, and a good friend and cousin of Jocelyn. Service of Thanksgiving in the late home on Sunday, April 13 at 1.30pm followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. House Strictly Private. Everyone is welcome to call and pay their respects at 12 Row Gardens, Irish Street, today (Saturday) from 11.00am until 9.00pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if wished to Marie Curie (please send your email address if receipt required) c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Very deeply regretted and will be greatly missed by his entire family circle. “Too good in life, to be forgotten in death” “One of life’s true Gentlemen“

 

Patricia Culshaw (née Cargan), Kilmacolm, Scotland (Formerly Castlerock)

The death has taken place of Patricia Culshaw (née Cargan), March 29 2025, Kilmacolm, Scotland (Formerly Castlerock), Dearly beloved mother of Shauna and Kacie. Daughter of the late PJ and Ellen Cargan. Sister of Anne Flaherty, Maggie Mullan, Mary Cargan-James and the late Fr. John Cargan. Patricia is reposing at J. A. Gormley’s Funeral Home, 1 Main St, Maghera on Sunday, April 13 from 5.00pm – 8.00pm, everyone welcome. Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dunboe on Monday, April 14 2025 at 12noon. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing daughters, sisters, brother-in-law Donal, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.

 

Eileen Greer (née McCloskey), 1 Station Road, Eglinton

The death has taken place of the late Eileen Greer (née McCloskey), April 9 2025, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, beloved wife of the late Brian and much loved partner of James Pollock, loving mother of Wendy, Darren and Raisa, devoted nana of Tracy, Lee, Lynsey, David, Greyson, Felix and Ella, a much adored great-nana, dear sister of Freda and cherished cousin of Elma. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 1 Station Road, Eglinton. Funeral service will take place in St Canice’s Parish Church, Eglinton on Saturday at 12noon. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, BT48 8JE. The Lord is my shepherd.

 

Siobhan Harkin (née McCloskey), 11 Benevenagh Gardens, Creggan, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Siobhan Harkin (née McCloskey), April 11 2025, loving wife of the late Paul, 11 Benevenagh Gardens, Creggan, devoted mother of Colm, Danielle, Erin and the late Eamonn, devoted nanny of Callum, Bria, Aimee, Ariah, Zayn, Ella-Grace and Molly, cherished daughter of the late Maureen and William McCloskey and dear sister of Danny, Liam, Frances and the late Pat, Maureen and Louise. Wake will take place in her home on Saturday and Sunday from 12noon until 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The funeral Mass can be viewed on the St. Mary’s Church webcam. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Ivan McAleese, 36 Killowen Drive, Magherafelt

The death has taken place of Ivan McAleese (Magherafelt), April 11 2025, peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Bridie, loving father of Caroline, Martin, Michelle, Brian and Kevin, dear brother of James and Patricia, father in law of Peter, Hugh, Caroline and Laura, solely missed by grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral from his home, 36 Killowen Drive on Sunday, April 13 at 1.15pm for 2.00pm Mass in Church of our Lady of the Assumption Magherafelt, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, sons, brother, sister, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family circle. Family has asked for the wake to remain private.

 

Gerald Wilson McCarron, 246 Glebe Crescent, Castlerock

It is with regret we announce the passing of Gerald Wilson McCarron, April 9 2025, suddenly at home, 246 Glebe Crescent, Castlerock, dearly loved son of the late William and Margaret, loving brother of Trevor and Andrew, and brother-in-law of Denise; much loved uncle of Jonathan (Nicola), Wilma (Adrian), Emma (Peter) and Alyson (Rodney) and a dear great-uncle. House strictly private. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Wades Funeral Home on Saturday at 1.00pm - 3.00pm and 7.00pm - 8.00pm. Service of Thanksgiving in First Dunboe Presbyterian Church on Sunday at 3.00pm followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Raymond McConnell, 105 Hatmore Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Raymond McConnell, April 11 2025, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Tyre). Loving father of John Paul, Declan, Brenda and Karen. A Beloved grandfather and great grandfather, son of the late Ambrose and Phyllis. Dear brother to all his brothers and sisters. Raymond will be reposing at his late home, 105 Hatmore Park from 12noon today (Saturday). Funeral from there on Monday at 9.20am to St Mary's Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all his family and everyone that knew him. Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
