Joseph Patrick Gallagher, 12 Elmwood Terrace, Derry

It is with deep regret and sorrow we announce the passing of Joseph Patrick Gallagher, March 26 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital,  (formerly of Rossville Street), beloved husband of the late Betty, loving father of Marie, Majella, Sean, Patrick, Liam and Eamonn, Father-in-law to Lisa, Siobhan, Liza, Dennis and Mickey a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, dear son of the late Edward and May, cherished brother of Maureen, Helen, Josephine, Tony and Eddie. Dearly loved by his nephews, nieces and the wider family circle. Joseph will be reposing at his home 12 Elmwood Terrace. Funeral leaving his home on Friday, March 28 at 9:20am to St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Knock intercede for him.

Shane Patrick McKenna, Birmingham (formerly Craigavole)

Updated arrangements for the late Shane Patrick McKenna, died March 19 2025, (Birmingham and formerly Craigavole, Co. Derry). N.B. Family and friends welcome to call at the family home, 102 Grove Road, on Thursday, March 27 2025 from 5.00pm. Died peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Brimingham. Beloved son of Liam and Celine McKenna, 102 Grove Road, Craigavole. Loving brother of Mairead McCusker (Paul) and Teresa McKenna (Con) and a much loved uncle of Eunan, Cahain, Clodagh and Ryan. Funeral from the family home on Friday, March 28 2025 at 2:20pm for 3.00pm Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Craigavole. (Requiem Mass will be recorded and a delayed recording will be available for viewing at a later date via the McKiernans Facebook Page.) Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St. Patrick pray for him. Deeply regretted by Esther, Bronagh, Paul O’Kane and the entire McKenna and O’Kane (Glenullin) family circle. No flowers please. Vaughan Clarke Porter, 17 Ballynahone Road, Maghera

It is with regret we announce the passing of Vaughan Clarke Porter, March 25 2025, passed peacefully with his loving Family by his side, 17 Ballynahone Road, Maghera. Family and Friends welcome at his home on Friday (March 29) and Saturday (March 29) from 12noon - 8:00pm. Funeral will take place from his home on Sunday, March 30 at 1:45pm, to Tobermore Baptist Church, for A Service of Thanksgiving at 2:30pm. Family flowers only please. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore Magherafelt BT45 5PP. Forever loved and sadly missed by all his Family.

Raymond (Razy) Ryan, 3 Harty Court, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Raymond (Razy) Ryan, March 24 2025, suddenly at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of 3 Harty Court), husband of Julie, loving father of Kristen, Daniel and Sophie, beloved son of the late Raymond and Kathleen, cherished brother of Don, Gary, Tina, Leanne and Emma. Dearly loved by his nephews, nieces and the wider family circle. Raymond will be reposing at his brother Gary’s Home, 14 Glenabbey Close. Funeral leaving 14 Glenabbey Close on Friday, March 28 at 9:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

Alexander (Lexie) Tate, 5 Castle Park, Eglinton

The death has occurred of Alexander (Lexie) Tate, March 25 2025, peacefully at home, beloved husband of Avril, loving father of Linda, Alex and the late Frances, father-in-law of Nigel and devoted grandfather of Christopher, Rebecca and the late Craig. His remains will be reposing in his home, 5 Castle Park, Eglinton, on Thursday from 12noon to 7.00pm. Funeral service will take place there on Friday at 11o’clock. Interment afterwards in St Canice’s Parish churchyard, Eglinton. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice or Marie Curie. The Lord is my shepherd.

Raj Vij, 82 Ballyarnett Village, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Raj Vij, March 26 2025, peacefully at home, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of Tara, David, Lisa, Raj Jr and Paul, father-in-law of Christopher, Darryl and Debbie, much loved grandfather of Mason, Sam, Priya, Christian, Aria and Roman and a very dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. His remains will be reposing in his home, 82 Ballyarnett Village. Funeral from there on Friday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. St Pio intercede for him.

Charlie Ward, Branxton, NSW, Australia (formerly of Creggan, Derry)

It is with regret we announce the passing of Charlie Ward, March 21 2025, peacefully at his home in Branxton, NSW, Australia, formerly of Leenan Gardens, Creggan, beloved husband of Marion, (née Doherty), loving father of Brendan and Kevin, devoted grandfather of Page, Oliver, Abbey and Riley. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 31 2025 in St. Patrick's of Nulkaba. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Knock intercede for him.
