It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Richard (Dickie) Dunseith, March 9 2025, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of 15 Knockwellan Park, Derry, in his 87th year) dearly beloved husband of Sylvia, loving father of Barbara, Diane and Richard, father-in-law of David, Alistair and Deborah, devoted grandad of Zoe, Jordan, Matthew, William, Thom and Alex, and loving great-grandad of Leo and Jude. A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will take place in D & R Hay and Sons Funeral Home, 24A Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Thursday, March 13 at 1.30pm, followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11 from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and Wednesday, March 12 from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Alzheimer’s Society c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director (at the above Funeral Home address). Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his family circle and friends. “The Lord is my Shepherd”

William (Willis) Holmes, Limavady

The death has occurred of the late William (Willis) Holmes, March 9 2025, (peacefully) at Benbradagh Nursing Home, beloved Husband of Rosaleen, Father of John, William, Olive, Peter, Aiden, Vanessa and Natasha, Son of the late Thomas A. And Lillie B., late of 7 Harvey Hill Road, Kilrea and Brother of Lorna, Pat, Freddie and the late Johnnie and Lillian. Funeral arrangements later. Lovingly remembered by the entire Family Circle. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Carol Keys (née Taylor), 2 Rossmore Place, Strathfoyle

The death has taken place of the late Carol Keys (née Taylor), March 10 2025, beloved mother of Lynne, Haylee and Trevor, mother-in-law of Vincent and Derek, devoted grandmother of Kelly, Aaron, Amie, Jordan and Chloe, great-grandmother of Bobby, Vogue, Aspen, Nell and Sadie and dear sister of the late Mae, John, Ken and Raymond. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 2 Rossmore Place, Strathfoyle, on Tuesday 12noon - 9.00pm. Funeral service will take place there on Wednesday at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. The Lord is my shepherd.

Rev Canon Walter Arnold Lewis, 145 Mountsandel Road, Coleraine

The death has occurred of the late Rev Canon Walter Arnold Lewis, March 5 2025, peacefully at the Bohill Care Home, Coleraine. Late of 145 Mountsandel Road, Coleraine and (former Rector of St Thomas’ Parish Church, Lisburn Road, Belfast). Dearly beloved husband of Evelyn and much loved father of Talitha and Christian, father-in-law of Graham and Jonathan, beloved granda of Sebastian, Daniel and Tara, and dear brother of Albert and the late Susan and Charles. Funeral Service in St John The Baptist Parish Church Agherton, Portstewart, on Saturday, March 15 2025 at 1.00pm, followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only please. It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Annie (Anna) McCaughey, March 9 2025, (peacefully) in her 90th year, formerly of 40 Lismoyle Road, Kilrea, dearly loved sister of William, Bella (Cairns) and the late Alex, Jim, Archie, Sadie, Winston, John and Martha (Infant), dear sister-in-law of Elizabeth, Leslie, Margaret, Sammy and the late Brenda and also a loving aunt and great-aunt. House strictly private. Funeral service in Boveedy Presbyterian Church on Tuesday (March 11) at 2:00pm followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Boveedy Presbyterian Church Building Fund payable to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donation’s A/c). Lovingly remembered by the entire family circle. “Thou shalt be missed because thy seat will be empty” 1 Samuel 20 v 18

Janis McClintock (née Kelly), Derry

The death has occurred of the late Janis McClintock (née Kelly) March 8 2025, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (in the tender loving care of her family) much loved wife of Trevor, devoted mother of Victoria and husband Gary, adored nana of Faolan James, precious sister of Margaret, Julie, Veronica, Aileen, Jacqueline, Patricia, Nicola, William, and the late Josephine, Caroline Deirdre and Diane, a dear sister-in-law of Vivian, and husband David, Desmond and wife Vivien, loving aunt of Mark, Gary, Kyle and Glenn, and Clare, Nigel and Dawn. Service of Thanksgiving in her late home on Thursday, March 13 at 9.00am followed by Cremation in Newtownabbey and Antrim Crematorium at 11.00am. Donations in lieu if desired to (cheques made payable to W.H.& S.C.T Altnagelvin Hospital Ward 26, c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. House Private. Family and friends only. Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and the entire family circle. “God’s garden must be beautiful he only takes the best”

The death has taken place of Stephen (Squirty) O'Connor, March 9 2025, beloved son of Philomena and the late Neil, loving brother of John, Paul, Sinead and Catherine, brother-in-law of Sean and Colm, much loved uncle of Caomhan, Ben, Erin, Eva and Cillian and a very dear friend. His remains will be reposing in his home, 124 Elaghmore Park. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 10.30am for 11o'clock Requiem Mass in St Joseph's Church, Galliagh. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12noon. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Darren Pickett, 3 Abercorn Court, Derry

The death has taken place of Darren Pickett, March 9 2025, beloved son of Patsy and the late Bridgeen, loving brother of Robert and Emma, dear father of Darrian, Alfie and Aoife and a much loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in the family home, 3 Abercorn Court, from 12noon on Tuesday. Funeral from there on Thursday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requeim Mass in St Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Divine Mercy watch over him.
