Iris Victoria Black, 2 Millbrook Park, Altnagelvin, Derry

It is with deep regret we inform you that the death has taken place of Iris Victoria Black, March 1 2025, Peacefully in Cornfield Care Centre. Formerly of 2 Millbrook Park, Altnagelvin. Dearly beloved wife of the late James. Devoted Mother of Geoffrey and Jeremy. Dear Mother-in-law of Ruth and Jane. Loving Grandmother of Alice, Rory, Freya, Nathan and Lauren. Funeral service in All Saints Clooney on Friday, March 7 at 12noon followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired made payable to Alzheimer's Society NI, Suit 2, Plumer house, Tailyour Road, Plymouth, PL65FS or All Saints Clooney, C/O Helen Henderson, 5 Manning Way, Derry, BT476GL. Josephine Griffiths (née Ryan), 11 Iniscarn Court, Creggan, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Josephine Griffiths (née Ryan), March 2 2025, peacefully at Waterside Hospital, beloved wife of the late Tony, 11 Iniscarn Court, Creggan, loving mother of Gary, Finola, Keith and the late Tony and a much loved grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Her remains will be reposing in her home. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. St Pio intercede for her.

 

Annette McDaid (née Barr), 4 Ballynacraig Gardens, Kingsfort, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Annette McDaid (née Barr), March 1 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Jack, loving mother of John, Terry, Maria, Eamonn, Desmond and the late Ken, a dear mother-in-law, a much loved grandmother, great-grandmother and dear sister of Sally, Bernard and the late James, John, May, Andy, Willie and Teresa. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 4 Ballynacraig Gardens, Kingsfort  Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Cremation will take place in Antrim & Newtownabbey Crematorium on Friday, March 7 2025 at 10o'clock. Family flowers only please. If wished, donations may be made to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

John McGlade, 26 Brackaghreilly Road, Maghera

The death has taken place of the late John McGlade, March 2 2025, (peacefully at home, 26 Brackaghreilly Road, Maghera), beloved husband of Grace, much loved father of Anne-Marie (McElvogue), Shaun and Patrick and loving brother of Ellie (Quigg) and the late Mary, Carmel (O’Kane), Sr. Patricia and Patrick. “House Strictly Private Please - no Exceptions” John’s remains will leave his late residence on Wednesday, March 5 at 11.30am for 12noon Requiem Mass (which can be viewed via the church webcam, see link below) in St Patrick’s Church Glen, burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughter, son in law Mark, daughters in law Ciara and Clara, grandchildren: Caoimhe, Michael, Eireann, Padraig, Laoise, Grainne, Conleth, Aoife, Odhrán, and all the family circle. Michelle McNulty, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Michelle McNulty, March 2 2025, peacefully in Altnagelvin hospital after a short illness, beloved wife of Damien, devoted mother of Gareth, Dee and the recently deceased Caragh. She will be missed sorely by Karima, Chilena and all of her grandchildren, Amber, Maebh, Dara, Brodíe, Emerson, Ezra, Asha and Zade. Cherished daughter of Francis and the late John, much loved sister of Claire, John, Linda and Melissa. At peace with her daughter Caragh, father John and mother and father-in-law Mary and Patsy. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O'Brien & Son's Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Monday from 11.00am - 1.00pm and 7.00pm - 9.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Eugene's Cathedral on Tuesday at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Friends of Altnagelvin (The Palliative Care Team), C/o Mr Peter Nicholl, MDEU Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital, Glenshane Road, Derry, BT47 6SB. Very deeply regretted and lovingly remembered. Safe in the arms of Jesus. Blessed Carlo Acutis, St Padre Pio, Sister Clare & Saint Teresa pray for Michelle.
