Gloria Breslin (née Sweeney) 35 Troy Park, Culmore Road, Derry

The peaceful death has taken place of Gloria Breslin (née Sweeney), on Saturday, February 22 2025, at Altnagelvin Hospital, late of 35 Troy Park, Culmore Road, Derry BT48 7RL and formerly from Ballymaleel P.O, Letterkenny and Quigley’s Point. Deeply missed by her loving sons Aidan (Valerie) and Cathal (Sabrina), daughters Carla and Leona (Brendan), nine grandchildren, sisters Mary O’Donnell, Kathleen Ponsonby and Margaret Toner (Letterkenny), brothers John, Noel and Eamonn (Ballymaleel), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Gloria is predeceased by her husband Liam (2009), brother Georgie and parents Susan and William. Rest in Peace. Gloria’s remains will repose at her late residence on Tuesday and Wednesday (2.00pm to 9.00pm) with Rosary both nights at 8pm. All are welcome. Funeral will take place leaving her home at 9.30pm on Thursday, February 27 for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn at 10.00am. Family flowers only please. Noella Hegarty (née Dillon), Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Noella Hegarty (née Dillon), peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on February 22 2025. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of Patrick. Devoted daughter of the late Denis and Phyliss. Loving sister of Ann, Catherine, Damian, Teresa, Paula, Michael, Martin and Mark. A much loved daughter-in-law of Hugh and the late Eilis Hegarty. Dearest sister-in-law of Hugh, Tim and Hilary. Eternal friend of Teresa and Elizabeth. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends. Noella’s remains will be reposing at her sister Catherine’s residence, 1 Cashelmore Park. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, February 25 at 9:20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Ida Jane Jordan (née Donaldson), 19 Moneyhaw Road, Moneymore

The death has taken place of the late Ida Jane Jordan (née Donaldson),February 22 2025, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, (in her 88th year), beloved Wife of the late Tom, 19 Moneyhaw Road, Moneymore, much loved Mother of Viola, Lexie (William), Geoffrey, Keith, Dawn, Gwen and Mark, a loving mother-in-Law, Granny and Great Great Granny and dearest Sister of Maisie, Olive, Davy, Alex, Moira, Alan and the late June. House private. Funeral will take place from her home on Tuesday, February 25 at 12:45pm to St. John's Parish Church, Moneymore for service at 1:30pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by the entire Family Circle. “Safe in the arms of Jesus”

Mary Kelly (née Murray), 30 Clonliffe Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Mary Kelly (née Murray), February 22 2025, peacefully at home, beloved wife of Jack, 30 Clonliffe Park, loving mother of John and Donal, mother-in-law of Ellen, devoted grandmother of Luke, Eva and Naomi, great-grandmother of Faith and dear sister of the late Donal, Bridie and Rosaleen. Her remains will be reposing in her home on Monday from 12noon - 9.00pm. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 11.20am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Drung, Co Donegal. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Derick McCarter, 38 Church Brae, Derry

The death has taken place of the Derick McCarter, February 23 2025 peacefully at home, 38 Church Brae. Beloved Husband of Margaret, loving Father of Floyd, Neville and Karldon, a dear Father in Law of Alison and Jan and a devoted Grandfather of Tasmin. Matthew, Shannon, Marcus and Max. Funeral service at home at 12noon on Wednesday, February 26 followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to The Foyle Hospice 61 Culmore Road or Marie Curie, 29g Gortrush Industrial Estate, Omagh. House strictly private. Sleeping were no shadows fall.
