It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Josephine Canning (née Deane), February 18 2025 at the Foyle Hospice Derry. Loving mother of Sinéad, Wendy and Shauna Much loved Grandmother of Odhrán, Rayea, Selah, Molly & Lola. Great grandmother of Kaíden and the late baby Cáel. Dear Sister of Sheila. Josephine will be reposing at her home, 17 Rathmore Crescent, Creggan. Funeral from there on Friday, February 21 at 12=noon going to the City Cemetery for interment at 12.30pm. The death has occurred of the late Ruby Crowe (née Campbell), February 19 2025, (peacefully) at Madelayne Court Care Home, (formerly of Rockland Park, Macosquin) dearly beloved wife of the late David Samuel, much loved mother of Maureen (Workman), Evelyn (Conn) and Ian, dear mother-in-law of Kenny, Arlene and the late Desmond, devoted grandmother of Lynda-Jane, Adrian, Emma, Louise and Jamie and great-grandmother of Callum, Lucas, Caitlyn, Luke, Daisy, Charlie and Alex. Service in Macosquin Parish Church on Sunday at 2.30pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. Friends and family welcome to her daughter’s home, 24 Isle Road, Macosquin, Coleraine on Thursday and Friday from 2.00pm to 8.00pm. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of the late Francis (Francie) Graffin, February 18 2025, beloved husband of Patricia and loving father of Sharon (Johnston), Donna (Martin), Geraldine (Leyden), Roisin (Doyle), Ciara (Neeson) and the late Joseph (died in infancy), dear brother of Rosemary, Eilish, Gerard, Ann, Raymond, Cathal, Seamus, Bernadette and the late Sean, Leo, Eileen and Winnifred. Funeral from his home 40 Waterfoot Road, Ballymaguigan BT45 6LF on Friday, February 21 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St Trea Newbridge, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Anne Harvey, St Canice’s Park, Eglinton
It is with deep regret we announce the passsing of Anne Harvey, February 19 2025, peacefully at Longfield Care Home, Eglinton and formerly of St Canice’s Park, beloved daughter of the late John and Margaret, loving sister of Clement and the late Aidan and a much loved sister in law, aunt and great-aunt. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU on Thursday from 5.00pm - 7.00pm. Her remains will then be removed from there to Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale to repose overnight. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Robert (Ronnie) McFadden, Brickfield Court, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Robert (Ronnie) McFadden, February 17 2025, beloved partner of the late Lorraine, late of Brickfield Court, loving brother of Charles, much loved uncle of Melissa and Donna and cherished cousin of Michael. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Columba’s Church, Longtower on Thursday at 10o’clock. A private cremation will take place later. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Sarah Caroline (Sally) McGrotty (née Millican), 73 Strand Road, Coleraine
The death has taken place of the late Sarah Caroline (Sally) McGrotty (née Millican), February 19 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, 73 Strand Road, Coleraine. Dearly loved wife of the late Willis, loving mother of Karen, Trina and Willis, mother-in-law of Saoirsé, Sam and Nigel, much loved granny of Lee, Lauren, Morgan, Lucas, Andreena, Steeva, Jaxx and the late Gully, great-granny of Sam and Sara and dear sister of Ann, Frankie, Marie, Joe, Carson, Olive and the late Robin. The death has taken place of the late Danny McNamee, February 19 2025, peacefully at Foyle Hospice, after a long illness, (late of Corrib Court, formerly of Creggan Heights), dear son of the late Elizabeth, loving brother of Deborah, Paul and the late William and a cherished uncle of Glen and Anthony. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Danny will be reposing at his sister’s home, 12 Shaw Court. Funeral leaving there on Friday, February 21 at 9:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Dearly beloved husband of the late Caroline. Devoted father of Sandra, Linda and the late Janice. Dear father-in-law of David and Jed. Adored grandfather and great-grandfather.
