Marie Kennedy, Leicester (formerly of Eglinton)

The death has taken place of the late Marie Kennedy, February 11 at LOROS Hospice, Leicester City, England (formerly of Woodvale Road, Eglinton). Beloved partner of Wayne, much loved daughter of Nan and the late Michael Kennedy, dear sister of Brian, Martin and Carmel, sister-in-law of Fiona and Bronagh devoted aunt to Lorcán, Darragh, Conor, Kian and Shea. Funeral arrangements later Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Stewart Lee, 2 Sandelwood Avenue, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late Stewart Lee, February 13 2025, peacefully at his home, 12 Sandelwood Avenue, Coleraine. Stewart, dearly beloved husband of Pat, loving father of Brian and Jan, father-in-law of Karl, grandad of Holly and brother-in-law of Helen. Funeral Service in Wades Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1.30 pm, followed by interment at Ballywillan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Hugh McFadden, 17 Cairnvale, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late Hugh McFadden, February 14 2025 (peacefully) at his home, 17 Cairnvale, Coleraine, much loved husband of Hazel, dearly loved father of Russell and Carly, father-in-law of Nicole and Damian, devoted granda of Carter, Lei, Pippa, Axel, Annette, Emily and Erin and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2a Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Wednesday at 12.00noon followed by a private cremation. House private. No flowers please. Donations in lieu if desired to NI Hospice or Marie Curie Nurses c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Deeply regretted by his loving family and entire family circle.

 

Jim Murphy, 10 Slievemore Park, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Jim Murphy, February 13 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, after a short illness,  (late of 10 Slievemore Park and formerly of Lecky Road), beloved son of the late Elizabeth and Michael, loving brother of Maureen, Kathleen, Tommy, Anne, John and the late Michael, Joe and Rosaleen, dear brother-in-law to Charlie, Hugo, Richard, Mary, Joan, Sadie, Patricia and the late Sammy and a devoted uncle and grand-uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Jim will be reposing at his brother John’s home, 45 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs. Funeral leaving there on Saturday, February 15 at 9:20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if wished, to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Sadie Rogers (née Gallagher), 9 Brandywell Road, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Sadie Rogers (née Gallagher), peacefully at The Foyle Hospice on February 13 2025. Late of 9 Brandywell Road. May she rest in peace. Beloved mother of Erin, Kelly, De and Conor. Loving granny of Lauren, Sammy, Devin, Katey, Derry, Caroline, Mia, Sofia and Lily. A much loved great-granny to all of her great-grandchildren. A very dear sister to all of her brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends both at home and in the USA. Sadie’s remains will be reposing at her late residence, 9 Brandywell Road from 11.00am on Sunday, February 16. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, February 18 at 9:20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Kate Wilson, Coleraine

The death has occurred of the late Kate Wilson, February 14 2025, (peacefully) at hospital, formerly of Mosside and Coleraine) dearly loved mother of Carolann and Phillip, devoted nanny to Steven, Emily, Anna, beloved daughter of the late John and Annie Wilson (Moyarget) and dear sister of Jacqueline, Avril, Roberta and Lorraine. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2a Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Friday, February 21 at 11.00am followed by cremation at Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium at 1.00pm. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired for Macmillan Cancer Support c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Family and friends welcome at Murdock’s Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20 from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.

 

Ann Elizabeth Witherspoon (née Mullin), 2 Tyler Park, Limavady

The death has taken place of the late Ann Elizabeth Witherspoon (née Mullin), February 13 2025, peacefully at Rush Hall Care Home, Limavady and formerly of 2 Tyler Park, Limavady. Dearly beloved wife of Trevor, loving mother of the late Andrew, dear sister-in-law of Mervyn (wife Pauline) and Kay (Australia) and aunt of Julie, Barbara, Richard and Stephanie. Service of Thanksgiving in Drumachose Presbyterian Church on Sunday at 2.30pm followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please.
