Thomas (Tommy) Carlin, 31 Fortwilliam Terrace, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Thomas (Tommy) Carlin, February 5 2025, peacefully at Cornfield Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Pamela, loving father of Kevin, Janet, Christine, Eamonn, Maoliosa, Una, Geraldine, Bronagh and Aiobheann, a much loved grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law and brother. His remains will be reposing in his home, 31 Fortwilliam Terrace, BT48 8DG. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Dementia NI. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Imogen Cleary-Vong, 9 Riverside South, Castledawson

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of the late Imogen Cleary-Vong, February 2 2025, Suddenly, beloved daughter of Michael and Pauline, loving sister of Dylan and Cody. Funeral from her home, 9 Riverside South on Friday, February 7 for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St. Patrick, Castledawson, cremation to follow at a later date. Deeply regretted by her father, mother, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family circle and friends. Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God's love commits me here, Ever this day, be at my side, To light and guard, Rule and guide.

 

Rosemary Curner (née Boyle), 31 Woodvale Road, Eglinton

The death has taken place of the late Rosemary Curner (née Boyle), February 5 2025, peacefully at her home, 31 Woodvale Road, Eglinton, beloved wife of the late Ted, loving mother of Deborah, Sandra and Shirley, mother-in-law of Ferenc, Pearse and the late John, devoted grandmother of David, Jamie, Ryan, Sean, Jack and Ronan and great-grandmother of Noa, Leo, Leyton and Ronnie. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Thursday from 5.00pm – 7.00pm. Her remains will then be removed to repose overnight in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale. Requiem Mass will be celebrated there on Friday at 11o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Marie Curie, 29G Gortrush Industrial Estate, Omagh, Co Tyrone, BT78 5EJ. Paula Elizabeth Thelma Jackson (née Knox), 51 Ballydermott Road, Bellaghy

We regret to inform you that the death has occurred of the late Paula Elizabeth Thelma Jackson (née Knox), February 5 2025, (peacefully) at her home, 51 Ballydermott Road, Bellaghy. Beloved wife of Samuel, loving mother of Lisa, David, Lesley and Laura, much loved sister of Myrtle, Jim and Gareth, mother-in-law of Ali, Lois, Ian and Ryan and proud grandmother of Angus and George, Klara, Eden and Sam, Isabel and Sadie and Ossie. All will be welcome at the family home from 12noon to 9.00pm on Thursday and Friday. Funeral from her late residence on Saturday, February 8 at 1.15pm for service of thanksgiving in Bellaghy Presbyterian Church at 2.00pm approximately. Burial afterwards in Ballyscullion Parish Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donation in lieu, if desired to MND Association, payable to Hamilton’s Funeral Services, 18 Deerpark Road, Bellaghy. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all her family. With Christ which is far better.

 

Brigid McCann (née Downey), 20 Beechland Park, Clady, Portglenone

The death has occurred of the late Brigid McCann (née Downey), peacefully at hospital surrounded by her loving family, (20 Beechland Park, Clady, Portglenone), beloved wife of the late Paddy, much loved mother of Colin, Anne (Cassidy), Fiona (Daly), Siobhan (Molloy), Eamon and Noel and loving sister of Annie (McCrystal), Edward, Eamon, Kathleen (Coyle), Jean (MacOscar), Patrick and the late Peggy (Shaw) and Mary Ann (Fitzsimmons). Brigid’s wake will officially begin at her late residence on Thursday, February 6 at 12noon. Her remains will leave from there on Saturday, February 8 at 10.40am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Clady (which can be viewed via the parish webcam, see link below), burial immediately afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Greenlough. NB: Family time requested each day between 10.p0pm and 11.00am. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, sons in law, daughters in law, brothers in law, sisters in law, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and all the family circle. Sr. Elizabeth Mullan, Canterbury (formerly of 29 Windyhill Road, Artikelly, Limavady)

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Sr. Elizabeth Mullan, January 30 2025, peacefully at St Anne's Convent, Staines Hill, Sturry, Canterbury (formerly of 29 Windyhill Road, Artikelly, Limavady), a member of the order of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, beloved daughter of the late Bernard and Brigid. Pre-deceased by her sisters Agnes, Molly (William), Sr. Bridget, Bernadette, Kathleen (Bernard), Gertrude, Rose and Philomena (Harry) and her brothers Thomas (Bridget) and Hugh and survived by her nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Veronica, wide family circle and the Sisters of the Lady of the Missions. Her funeral will take place in Sturry, England on Tuesday, February 18 2025. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Anne Patricia (Nancy) O'Donoghue (née O'Kelly), Derry

The death has taken place of the late Anne Patricia (Nancy) O'Donoghue (née O'Kelly), February 5 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of her home, Longfield Care Home. Beloved wife of the late Seamus, much loved mother of Maire Horgan, Grainne Lynn, Kathy Jackson and Lisa Spence. Predeceased by her son-in-law Dermot Horgan, and siblings Sean, Maire, Seamus, Denis, Fr Frankie and her great granddaughter baby Grace. Deeply regretted by her daughters, sons-in-law (Jim, Peter and John), sister Therese and brother Declan, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her remains will be reposing in her daughter Lisa’s house: 3 Westlake, Derry, BT47 6WE on Thursday, February 6 and Friday, February 7 from 11.00am - 9.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road, Waterside, on Saturday 8th February at 10o'clock. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the St Vincent de Paul, Derry or Alzheimer’s UK. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
