Martin Cassidy, 12a Slaughtneil Road, Slaughtneil

The death has taken place of the late Martin Cassidy, Cassidy (Slaughtneil), January 7 2025, Peacefully at home following a short illness. Beloved husband of Margaret Mary (Maggie). Devoted father of Liam, Eimear, Paul and the late infant Dympna. Son of the late Henry and Dympna. Loving brother of Patrick, Brian, Dympna Dougan, Shane, Henry, Joseph, Ignatius, Elizabeth Doherty (Lanny). Family time 11.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral from his home 12a Slaughtneil Road, BT46 5NJ on Friday, January 10 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, Granaghan. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed via webcam at: www.mcn.live/Camera/st-john-baptist-swatragh. Family flowers only. Terrence (Terry) Cavanagh, 16 Sherard Street, Dublin (formerly of Creggan, Derry)

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terrence (Terry) Cavanagh on January 4 2025. Late of 16 Sherard Street, Dublin and formerly of 72 Rinmore Drive, Creggan. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of the late Jimmy and Maisie. Devoted brother of Brian, John, Rose, Christopher, Daniel, Frances, Tina and the late Patsy, Ann, Billy, Peter, Vincent and Valerie. A much loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Terry’s remains will be reposing at his niece Leanne's residence, 151 Galliagh Park from approx. 3.00pm on Saturday, January 11. Funeral leaving from there on Sunday, January 12 at 11:40am for 12:15pm Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. We regret to inform you the death has taken place of Margaret Douglas (née McLaughlin), suddenly but peacefully at home on January 9 2025, may she rest in peace. Late of 92 Irish Green Street, Limavady, Co Derry. Beloved wife of the late Richard R.I.P. Loving mother of Donna, Rodney, Ingrid and Richard. Devoted grandmother of Paul, Richard, Sophie, Sean, Corey, Ben, Conor and Eva. Daughter of the late Annie and William R.I.P and dear sister of Joe, Irene, Patsy and the late Dan, Billy, Brian, May, Jean and Geraldine R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all the Douglas and McLaughlin family circles. Reposing at her late home. Wake will commence 11.00am Friday. William Alfred (Alfie) Gallick, Limavady

The death has taken place of Alfie Gallick, called home January 9 2025, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre, late of Limavady, dearly beloved husband of Irene, much loved and devoted father of Frederick, Alexandra, Richard and Carol, dearest father-in-law of Margaret, Cindy and David, loving granda of Stewart, Andrew, Matthew, Richard, Hayley, Alison and Janice, cherished great-granda of Keianna, Isaac, Logan, Ruby, Jack, Jack, Isabella, Harry, Lottie and Anna and also a dear brother. House strictly private. Funeral service in Drumachose Presbyterian Church on Saturday(January 11) at 11:30am followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Drumachose Presbyterian Church Building Fund and Alzheimer’s Research NI payable to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donation’s A/c), 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP. Always loved and remembered by his family and the entire family circle. “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast” Hebrews 6 v 19 KJV

 

Elizabeth Mary (May) McAllister, Limavady

The death has occurred of the late Elizabeth Mary (May) McAllister, Passed away peacefully in Cornfield Care Centre on January 8 2025 surrounded by her loving Family. Much loved mother of William. Mother in law of Amanda. Devoted grandmother of Chloe and Noah. Also a dear sister and sister in law. Will be dearly missed by her Cherished friends. Wake will commence from 3 Brookfield Park, Largy. The death has taken place of the late Lee McClenaghan, January 8 2025, (suddenly) at his home, 7 Loughinsholin Park, Castledawson, dearly beloved Son of Gordon and the late Louise, cherished Brother of Gordon, Lesley and Michael and a much loved Brother-in-Law of Kyle. The death has taken place of the late Angela McCloskey (née O'Kane) (Dungiven), January 8 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Jim (Harry) and dear sister of Maureen (McGreevey) and the late Lauri O'Kane, sister in law of Josie (O'Kane)and Frank, daughter of the late Michael and Susan O'Kane. Angela's wake will be held in her nephew Michael O'Kane's residence ,39 Cahore Road, Draperstown, BT45 7LY. Funeral on Sunday, January 12 2025 at 10.30am from her nephew Michael's residence for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Very deeply regretted by her loving sister, brother in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, her many friends and extended family. Wake commences on Friday, January 10 2025. Edward (Ned) McDermott, 32 Thorndale, Limavady

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Edward (Ned) McDermott, January 9 2025, peacefully at his home, 32 Thorndale, Limavady, BT49 0ST, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of Bosco, Damian, Moira, Bláthnaid, Nuala, Eddie and Carol, father-in-law of Nuala, Deborah, Danny, Colin and Paddy, dear brother of Christopher, Mairead, Val, Tom, Gerard, Marian, Gabrielle, Claire, Noel and Ursula and he will be sadly missed by his 18 grandchildren. Ned will now be reunited with his late parents, Dan and May, sisters Anne and Kay and his cherished daughter Wee Jean. His remains will be reposing in his home. The death has taken place of the late Patricia O'Neill (née O'Kane), January 8 2025, peacefully at her home, 13 Riverview Crescent, Drumahoe, beloved wife of the late Daniel, loving mother of John, Mary, Anne, Eddie, Bridget, Philomena, Jennifer and the late Danny, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Bridie, Nan and the late Celine and Mary. Her remains will be reposing in her home. It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene Sheehan, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on January 9 2025. Late of Daisyfield Apartments and formerly of 16 Rathowen Park. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of the late Edward and Sarah Sheehan. Devoted brother of Marian, Eamon, James, Donal, Martin and the late Nuala and Sammy. Loving father of Sarah, Fiónan, Roisin and Cahir. A much loved grandfather to all of his grandchildren. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Eugene’s remains will be reposing at his brother Eamon’s residence, 3 Shanreagh Park. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, January 11 at 10:20am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan.
