Carmel Doherty (née McQuaide), 63 Upper Nassau Street, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Carmel Doherty (née McQuaide), October 29 2024, peacefully at her home, 63 Upper Nassau Street, beloved wife of the late John (J.D.), loving mother of Sharon, Cathy, Carmel, Christine, John, Rosaleen and the late Paul, devoted granny of Tracy, Hugh, Patrick, Catherine, Jonathan, Claire, Caitlin, Stephen, Melisha, Mckenzie, Paul, Samantha and Conor and a loving great-granny and mother-in-law. Will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home on Thursday, October 31 2024 at 9.20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her. Blessed Carlo Acutis pray for her.

 

Howard Doherty, 54a Glenmanus Road, Portrush

We regret to inform you that the death has occurred of the late Howard Doherty, October 29 2024 (peacefully) at his home, 54a Glenmanus Road, Portrush, dearly loved partner of Josie, much loved father of Gareth, Step-father of Cathy and Joanne and a devoted grandfather, step grandfather, brother and uncle. Service in his home on Friday at 11.30am followed by interment in Ballywillan Cemetery. Family and close friends welcome at his home on Wednesday and Thursday from 7.00pm and 9.00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired for Marie Curie Nurses c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by his loving family, friends and entire family circle.

 

Frankie Donaghey, 4 Lecky Court, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Frankie Donaghey, October 28 2024, suddenly at his home 4 Lecky Court, beloved husband of Marie, loving father of Mandy, James and Stephen, father-in-law to Sean, Joanne and Bryony and a devoted grandfather. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Frankie will be reposing at his home on Wednesday from 11.00am to 10.00pm. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday, October 31 2024 at 9.20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

James Archibald McIntyre, 42 Killeague Road, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late James Archibald McIntyre, October 29 2024, peacefully at Causeway Hospital, (aged 90 years), 42 Killeague Road, Coleraine. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, loving father of Linda, father-in-law of Nigel, much loved granda of Ellen, Kathryn and Iane, and great-granda of John and James; loving brother of Kenneth, Helen and the late William, John and George, and a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Family and friends are welcome to call at the family home on Wednesday at 6.00pm – 9.00pm and Thursday from 2.00pm-6.00pm. Service of Thanksgiving in Killaig Presbyterian Church on Friday at 11.30am followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Sarah (Sadie) Mullan, 60A Lyttlesdale, Garvagh

Funeral arrangements for the late Sarah (Sadie) Mullan, died October 29 2024 (Garvagh). House private please. Family and friends welcome to call at the family home from 6.00pm on Wednesday. Family time 10.00pm to 10.00am. Peacefully at hospital, Sadie, wife of the late William James (Jimmy); loving mother of Donna, Seamus, Declan, Cathair, Aiden, Edel and Giles; dear mother-in-law of Gabriel, Donna, Anne Marie, Alice, Katherine, Jonathan and Judith and a much adored Grandmother and great grandmother. Daughter of the late George and Annie Mullan and loving sister of Geordie, Kevin, Patsy, Marian and the late Gretta, Rosemary, Sheila, Josephine, Peter and Jim. Funeral from her late residence, 60A Lyttlesdale, on Friday at 10:55am for 11:30am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. (Mass will be broadcast live on the parish website www.errigalparish.com/media.html). Interment afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Glenullin. St. Pio pray for her. Deeply regretted by the entire Mullan family circle. Family flowers only please. John Young, Castledawson

The death has taken place of the late John Young (Castledawson), October 29 2024, beloved father of Gemma, grandfather of Ronan and loving brother of Sally, Marion, Maria, Liam, Damian and the late Eddie.  Funeral from his daughter’s home, 22 Laurelbrook Magherafelt, on Thursday, October 31 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in The Church of our Lady of the Assumption, interment afterwards in Cemetery at Church of St. John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing daughter, grandson, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, sisters in law Paula and Helena, brothers in law Pat, Raymond and Joe, and wider family circle. John’s wake will commence 10.00am Wednesday, October 30.
