Harry Curran, formerly of 9 Glendara, Derry

The death has occurred of Harry Curran, 9th February 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital,  (“The Good Lord”, formerly of 9 Glendara), beloved husband of the late May, loving father of Bernard and the late John, devoted grandfather of Bronagh and Séana, and great-grandfather of Ciara and Daniel, dear and loving brother of Mickey, Kathleen and the late Willie, John and Thomas and a dear father-in-law of Frances. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by Darren, Breegeen, Grace, Faye, Beth and the wider family circle and his many friends. Funeral leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, 31 William Street, on Saturday, 11th February at 9.20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Viewing in Bradley & McLaughlin’s Chapel of Rest today (Friday) from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.

Michael (Mick) Donaghy, formerly of Harberton Park, Altnagelvin, Derry

The death has taken place of Michael (Mick) Donaghy, 8th February 2023, passed away (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital after a long illness, formerly of Harberton Park, Altnagelvin. May he rest in peace, beloved brother of the late May, Jim, Jeannie, Johnny and Bridie. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Philip, sister Annie (McKeever), niece Mary, sister-in-law Frances, all his nieces and nephews and all his many friends. Mick's remains will be reposing at his home for a private family wake. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Foyle Hospice greatly appreciated. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Elizabeth (Liz) Fitzpatrick (née Horner), 61 Moyola Drive, Shantallow, Derry

The death has taken place of Elizabeth (Liz) Fitzpatrick (née Horner), 8th February 2023, beloved wife of Don, 61 Moyola Drive, Shantallow, loving mother of Gavin, Don and Melissa, devoted grandmother of Victoria, Brooklyn, Mckenzie, Brandon, Leo, Tommy, Kenyon, Melah and Joey, daughter of the late Joe and Mary Horner and a much loved sister. Her remains are reposing at her home and funeral from there on Saturday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Steelstown. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Rita Johnston (née Lennox), formerly of Mullagh Park, Maghera

The death has taken place of Rita Johnston (née Lennox), 7th February 2023, (peacefully) at Camphill Nursing Home, Ballymena, Rita, formerly of Mullagh Park, Maghera, dearly beloved Wife of the late John, much loved Mother of Alistair and Denver, a loving Mother-in-Law of Janice, devoted Grandmother of Sam and his Partner Kath and Jason and his Wife Suzi, Great Grandmother of George and Florence, dearest Sister of William (Billy) and the late Gladys, Cathie, Eccles, Hugh, Robert and babies Mary and Tom and a beloved Sister-in-Law and Aunt. Funeral from her Son Alistair’s home, 3 Orchard Hill, Gracehill, Galgorm, Ballymena on Friday, February at 1.15pm, to St. Lurach’s Parish Church, Maghera for service at 2.00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Colin John Jones, 79 Greenmount Avenue, Coleraine

The death has occurred of Colin John Jones, 9th February 2023, (peacefully) at hospital, 79 Greenmount Avenue, Coleraine, dearly loved husband of Sandra, loving father of Christopher, Jonathan and Julie-Anne, step-father of Adam, father-in-law of Gillian, Martin and Ursula, loving grandfather of Darryl, Nikki, Rebecca, Alex and Layla and a much loved brother. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2a Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Monday at 11.00am followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. House private. Family flowers only please. James McKillop, 8th February 2023, (peacefully) at hospital surrounded by his loving family, Kilrea and formerly Rasharkin, beloved husband of Sue (née McGilligan); loving father of Elaine (McKay), Rhonda (McGonigle), Margot (O’Rourke) and Arlene (Martin); father-in-law of Mickey, Shane, Mickey and Oliver and much adored Granda of Mark, Laura, Conor, Shauna, Sean, Eunan, Ciaran, Roma, Luca, Ellie and Declan. Son of the late Alex and Annie and dear brother of Denis, Una, Margaret, Charlie and Lecky. Family time from 11.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral from his late residence, 1 Ardbann Walk, on Saturday at 10.15am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumagarner. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Gordon McAlary, 7 Edenmore Park, Limavady

The death has occurred of Gordon McAlary, (peacefully) passed away at his home, 7 Edenmore Park, Limavady on 9th February 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Much loved son of the late Margaret and Eddie. Loving father of Nyree and the late Adam, devoted partner of Jane, much loved brother of Nonnie, Lagan, Mandy, Sam, Joy, Scott and the late Carol and Pat. Also a dear uncle and friend to many. Funeral service leaving his home on Saturday, 11th February at 11.00am for a 12noon service in Balteagh Parish Church followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please.
