Man charged with police assault and drug possession in Derry
Arrest made following a reported disturbance and attempted burglary on Collon Lane
A 35-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences to appear before Derry Magistrate's Court today, September 2.
The offences include Possession of a Class B controlled drug, Disorderly behaviour and Assault on Police.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The man was arrested following an incident reported in the Collon Lane area of the city on August 31. In relation to the offence of attempted burglary the man was arrested on suspicion of, he is to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.
