Hospital ban for Coleraine woman charged with staff assault

A woman has been released on bail at Derry Magistrate's Court today on condition she does not enter Altnagelvin Hospital.

Chloe Sharkey (25) of Westbourne Crescent in Coleraine appeared charged with being disorderly in Altnagelvin Hospital on August 9 this year.

She was also charged with assaulting a member of hospital staff on the same date and a charge of criminal damage to handcuffs.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges.

The court was told that Sharkey had been attending the hospital as a patient when the alleged offences occurred.

Sharkey was released on bail on condition that she does not enter Altnagelvin Hospital and she will appear again on September 16.
