Assault suspect banned from entering Derry as condition of bail

Thirty-five-year old is ordered to reside at a police approved address outside the city following a series of alleged domestic and driving offences
A man who appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today was granted bail on condition he does not enter Derry.
Darragh Moore (35) of no fixed abode was charged with assault on July 3 with the offence aggravated by domestic abuse.
He was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon, stealing a sum of money, taking and driving away a vehicle, no insurance and no driving license and drug offences all of which were said to have occurred on the same date.
A police officer connected the accused to the charges.
Defence counsel Grainne McAnaney said that police were agreeable to bail with suitable conditions in place.
These were outlined as an address outside the city pre-approved by the PSNI and no contact with the alleged injured party in the case.
The case was adjourned until August 20.
