The White Butterfly Foundation – A Beacon of Hope for Families Affected by Baby Loss

Stormont, 9th October 2025 | Guildhall, 10th October 2025

The White Butterfly Foundation is proud to once again host two special events during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October 2025), a national campaign that unites families, charities, and communities to remember and raise awareness of the impact of miscarriage, baby loss, and neonatal death.

This year’s events will take place at The Long Gallery, Stormont, on 9th October, and at The Whittaker Suite, Guildhall, Derry/L’Derry, on 10th October. Both gatherings will shine a light on the experiences of bereaved parents and the vital importance of compassion and support.

Founded by local woman Selina Casey, The White Butterfly Foundation exists to ensure that no parent walks the painful journey of loss alone. Through trauma-informed counselling, creative resources, and personalised care, the Foundation provides a safe and supportive space for grieving families.

Founder Selina Casey said:
“Losing a baby is one of the most profound and isolating experiences a parent can endure. The White Butterfly Foundation exists to provide comfort, healing, and hope—and to make sure every family knows they are not alone in their grief.”

The Foundation will continue to showcase its Timeless Tile Collection, a deeply moving initiative that allows families to mark significant dates such as due dates and anniversaries. 100% of profits are directed towards offering free one-to-one psychological support for bereaved parents.

These events have attracted strong community and political support, underlining the importance of raising awareness around baby loss and ensuring that families receive the care and understanding they deserve.

We invite the public, local representatives, and community partners to join us in remembrance, solidarity, and hope.
