The Mid Ulster Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (Mid Ulster IPSC) held a Lough Beg Walk For Gaza on Friday which attracted around 100 people to walk in solidarity with Palestine, and against the local complicit Arms trade.

People walked with placards demanding Moyola Precision Engineering to immediately Divest from the manufacture of F-35 parts, the very same warplanes currently commiting genocide in Gaza. They were accompanied by local musicians and drummers and announced their next protest for Monday the 15th.

The Mid Ulster IPSC along with the Derry IPSC are to hold a protest Monday the 15th of September at 7pm outside F-35 part manufacturer Moyola Precision Engineering, in Castledawson, Co. Derry.

Protesters will hold InvestNI and those who run it responsible for public funds going to complicit factories across the country.

“Following numerous protests, Moyola Precision Engineering has removed references to F-35 part manufacture from their website. This is a sign that the pressure is working. We do not want parts for warplanes bombing children made in Mid Ulster.

Moyola has not responded to the Mid Ulster IPSC’s letter to meet and discuss divestment.

We demand a complete divestment of the manufacture of complicit parts from Moyola Precision Engineering. They have existed before they took on the F-35 programme. They can find income that isn’t soaked in blood. We will not rest until Moyola Divest!"

The protest on Monday with also be with local Derry IPSC activist Janine McLaughlin who is currently on the Global Sumud Flotilla attempting to break Israel’s siege of Gaza.
