New self-catering units approved for Bellaghy Bawn

Causeway Coast and Glens Council have approved a new project for Bellaghy Bawn.

The aim and works associated with the Bellaghy Bawn site is to provide 7 self-catering short term residential units.

The units will be refurbished through a new interior fit-out of 5 existing ancillary outbuildings, along with refurbishment and extension of existing ground floor residential unit and refurbishment of duplex two storey apartment.

There will also be minor interior alterations to the main Bawn house as well as introduction of external platform lift and ramped access for disabled access.

Councillor Donal McPeake told the committee he had a tour of the Bellaghy Bawn a few weeks ago. He said he was happy to propose the approval of the application. The application was seconded by Councillor Sean Clarke.
