Sinn Féin MLA Emma Sheerin has welcomed a pay deal for further education lecturers.
The party’s local economy spokesperson was commenting after Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald confirmed unions had agreed to an offer for 2024/25 and 2025/26.
“It’s hugely positive that Economy Minister Caoimhe Archibald has reached agreement with unions to deliver fair pay for further education lecturers,” said Ms Sheerin.
“This highlights the Executive’s ongoing commitment to ensuring public sector workers have fair pay and good working conditions and recognises the invaluable work they do in our education system.
“Sinn Féin will continue to work with trade unions and employers to better the lives of workers and families here.”
