Moneymore company J&K Coaches have launched an online fundraiser to help support the family of a former employee who suffered a 'devastating accident' abroad.

Ryan Daly (27) is currently on life support after he was injured in an accident in Thailand.

The young man, who worked as an Ambulance Care Attendant with J&K Coaches, had set off on an 'adventure of a lifetime' travelling the world. At a stop in Thailand he was injured, suffering fatal injuries.

The coach company has launched a Just Giving page to support his mother and sister, who also work in the company.

On Wednesday J&K Coaches took to Facebook to share their fundraiser for the young man.

The post said: “As a company, we are committed to supporting Julie and Lucy, both financially and emotionally, in any way we can. Your support during this incredibly difficult time would mean the world.

“Please, if you can, show your kindness and compassion in any way possible - it is deeply appreciated.”

The fundraising page reads: "Ryan Daly, a former employee of our company, embarked on the adventure of a lifetime at 27 years old, pursuing his dream of travelling the world.

"One of his stops was in Thailand, a breathtaking country rich with unforgettable experiences.

"Tragically, Ryan was involved in a devastating accident this week and is now on life support in Thailand. His mother, Julie, and sister, Lucy, received the heartbreaking news of his critical condition, with little hope for recovery.

"They have travelled to be by his side, but his injuries are sadly fatal - an unthinkable ordeal for any family.

"In response, we have created this fundraising page to offer support to Julie and Lucy, and we’re reaching out to you - our community, followers, and clients - to help us provide the assistance they need."

The page has raised over £15k of its £20k target in less than one day and J&K Coaches told Belfast Live they are "completely blown away from everyone's generosity" as their main focus remains on supporting the Daly family and providing them comfort to focus on Ryan.

The page continued saying : "Ryan, who worked as an Ambulance Care Attendant in our J&K Ambulance department, shared a deep dedication to patient care alongside his mum and sister.

"He was known for his kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

"Now, Ryan is in need of care, and Julie and Lucy need our support.

"Your contribution, no matter the size, can make a meaningful difference. Please join us in standing with the Daly family during this heart-wrenching time."

The fundraising page has over exceeded its target of £20k with the public donating an amazing £30k to the fund so far.

On Thursday J&K Coaches thanked the public on Facebook saying "WOW!!! We are completely overwhelmed at the support of everyone on this fundraiser!! 151% of our target is incredible!

"To everyone who has donated however big or small, to everyone who has shared the link, to everyone who has commented, thank you so so much! This means the absolute world to us never mind Ryan's family! Please please keep sharing and donating"
