A County Derry family are set to switch-on the lights of their very own winter wonderland in aid of a local school.
The family from Dungiven have had the special Christmas display on show for a number of years but this is the first year they have opened it up for donations.

Stacey Mullan daughter of Uel and Roisin Moore explained how the idea came about: “Our family has run the project over the past few years now but this year will be bigger and better than ever. This will be the first year we have asked for donations.

“My wee boy Carter goes to the local school Drumrane Primary and we thought it would be a good idea to use this opportunity to fundraise for them.

“The public are free to give a donation, open the gate and come on into the yard to properly view our wonderful display.”

The lights at 8 Gelvin Road Road, Dungiven will be switched on Saturday, December 7 at 5pm. The lights will then be on daily from 5pm-9pm over the Christmas period.

The donation box will be visible at the gate of the house. All money raised will go directly towards Drumrane Primary School, Burnfoot.
