And the city is now getting recognised for this, with one Derry restaurant being named among the UK’s best new restaurants to open in 2023.
The inaugural edition of The UK’s Top New Restaurant Awards revealed the very best openings from 2023. Experts at Condé Nast Traveller searched the country.
One Derry restaurant was named among the UK’s best new restaurants, Lir.
Becoming a firm local favourite the restaurant offers up the best, locally sourced seafood that is cooked to perfection.
It is a sustainably-focused seafood restaurant that opened in Coleraine, County Derry, last year.
