Heartbroken dad pays tribute to those who helped his son at the scene of the accident

The heartbroken dad of a Burnfoot teenager has paid tribute to those who helped his son at the scene of the accident which later claimed his life.

Isaac Roxborough, from Burnfoot, near Dungiven, was riding a quad on the Ballygudden Road area of Eglinton on Tuesday morning when he was involved in an single vehicle crash.

He sadly passed away in hospital on Wednesday, June 26, from his injuries.

In an online post, Isaac's heartbroken dad Mark Roxborough thanked emergency services and staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital. 

He said: "The family are grateful for all the much needed prayers and the messages of support at this difficult time from everyone. The Roxborough family home will be strictly private in the coming days as we come to terms with this immeasurable loss."

The Limavady High School pupil's funeral is expected to take place on Sunday.

Mark finished his post saying: "Isaac’s funeral will be open to all to pay their respects and support our family which all being well will be Sunday 2pm at Bovevagh Parish Church. (but not yet confirmed). Isaac Douglas Alexander Roxborough, forever young. At home with the Lord."
