Swatragh and Slaughtneil were represented in the 2024 Great Granaghan Derby in Zambia this week.

Granaghan Outreach travelled to Lufwanyama, Zambia, this year as the charity continues its mission to help underprivileged children and their surrounding community to help build a more sustainable life.

The charity travelled to the African country to continue work on a new primary school and to bring school supplies and clothes to the area.

While the group that travelled to Zambia has been working hard with Granaghan Outreach, they found the time to coach and referee the Gaelic matches between the children.

One team was proudly wearing their new green and white Swatragh jerseys while they played a formidable side in the white and maroon of Slaughtneil, with the referee wearing the commemorative Oran Boyd jersey.

The children also cheered on Derry in the video ahead of their upcoming All Ireland quarterfinal fixture with Kerry in Croke Park this weekend.

Donations are always welcomed by the charity, as they aim to reduce social deprivation and poverty and offer a better standard of living.
