The McCready family presenting the monies raised to Tiny Life and Altnagelvin Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Clare McCready and her husband Mark ran a charity event called Mid Ulster Horse Fair on Saturday August 19.
The event raised nearly £3000 and all proceeds were donated equally between the charity Tiny Life and Altnagelvin Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The couple has two premature babies- who are now three years old and one year old- and they wanted to give something back to Altnagelvin and Tiny Life who were fantastic support to the family.
Clare said: "Last year we ran the event alongside another family for a little boy in Maghera who needed a liver transplant. We raised funds for the RVH Liver Support Group.
"It went really well last year, my husband does most of the organising. There isn't another event like it in Mid Ulster and we really wanted to raise vital funds and give something back.
"The staff in the Altnagelvin Neonatal intensive Care Unit are amazing, they really are. Our babies are thriving now and we are so happy we could give something back.
"Despite the weather, we had a brilliant day. The final total was £2864.64 which was split evenly between Altnagelvin Neonatal and TinyLife.
"Altnagelvin suggested spending it on a new ventilator which is great."
