A local councillor has expressed her concern after a number of Derry homes came under attack by stone throwing young people.
SDLP councillor Shauna Cusack said that properties have been damaged as a result.
Cllr Cusack said: "I was alerted to this by a message to my community Facebook site MORE Community, where last night a resident posted that youths were throwing stones at hers and other homes in North Meadows from the vicinity of Marianus Park.
"This had happened before and resulted in damage to her property, but what is more concerning is the danger to children and people in their homes or gardens should they be struck by a missile.
"I don't understand what is entertaining about this destructive and dangerous behaviour or what these individuals hope to achieve.
"Recently myself and my SDLP colleagues were successful in efforts to have the Housing Executive erect a fence to prevent ongoing issues of anti-social behaviour in the area where homes were being targeted, but now it would appear their tactics have changed.
"The PSNI have been informed and if anyone has any information about those involved I ask them to get in touch as this behaviour must end before someone gets seriously hurt."
