John Taylor named new CEO of Derry-based Alchemy Technology Services

Derry-based Alchemy Technology Services has appointed John Taylor as Chief Executive Officer to lead the business through its next phase of growth, building on its position as a specialist insurance technology partner and accelerating expansion in the UK and internationally.

Mr Taylor brings more than 25 years’ experience in the global insurance industry, with a strong track record in large-scale digital transformation and sustainable growth. He has been instrumental in shaping Alchemy since its inception, helping to build the culture, delivery standards and specialist capabilities that define the business today.

As CEO, John will focus on scaling Alchemy’s specialist capabilities globally as one of NTT DATA’s Global Centres of Excellence. Following Alchemy’s acquisition by NTT DATA in 2025, the business is well positioned to grow with scale, deepen its expertise and extend its reach worldwide, while preserving its people-first culture.

Mr Taylor’s predecessor as CEO, John Harkin, has joined NTT DATA, Inc. as Managing Director, Integration and Growth – Global Insurance, and will continue to work closely with Mr Taylor and the Alchemy team.
