Derry by Fork unveils ‘Sunday Sips’ experience for upcoming LegenDerry Food Month

LegenDerry Food Month is back next month with a delicious programme of events showcasing a range of exciting local food experiences.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the city’s vibrant drinks scene can enjoy a new experience included in this year’s line up - ‘Derry By Fork: Sunday Sips’ is a relaxed guided experience celebrating the city’s vibrant drinks scene, local producers, and the stories behind them.

Designed as an easy-going Sunday afternoon adventure, Sunday Sips blends tastings, conversation, and community across a curated trail of Derry’s standout hospitality venues. Led by the passionate team at Derry by Fork, the experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the craft, character, and creativity shaping the city’s evolving food and drink culture.

Visit a handpicked collection of independent venues, each offering something distinctive. Enjoy a Rooh Vodka cocktail at The Anchor Inn, a cocktail-making experience at O’Loughlin's Irish House, sample two Spanish wines paired with tapa-style pintxos bites at El Tapas Gra, Redgate Cider with a seasonal snack at Stitch & Weave, and finish off with a beer flight tasting at Walled City Brewery.

Looking ahead to LegenDerry Food Month, Jennifer O’Donnell, Tourism Manager with Derry City and Strabane District Council, said: “LegenDerry Food Month is all about celebrating the people, places, and produce that make our destination so special, and ‘Derry By Fork’: Sunday Sips captures that spirit perfectly.

“Experiences like this shine a spotlight on our local drinks producers and hospitality venues, while offering visitors and locals a fun, engaging way to connect with the city and its stories.”

Emily McCorkell from Derry by Fork said: "This tour brings together every drink category under one unforgettable experience: multiple specialty cocktails, microbrew craft beers, and curated wines. Special locations will offer perfectly crafted pairings to heighten the flavour experience. What’s more is the story and connection our guests will feel as they meet the makers behind each glass. It’s a taste, a sip, and a mouthful of Derry City."

Running throughout February, Love Legenderry Food Month highlights the best of the region’s food and drink offering through a series of events, tours and experiences, encouraging locals and visitors alike to eat local, support independent businesses and explore new tastes.
