Duality Healthcare announces a landmark partnership with Gordons Chemists aimed at bringing enhanced virtual and face-to-face GP services to communities across Northern Ireland. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in improving access to high-quality, flexible healthcare options for all, across the province.

This collaboration – the first of its kind between a pharmacy chain and a private healthcare provider in Northern Ireland – will see a Duality GP clinic opening in Gordons Chemists on Waterloo Place in Derry at the start of December 2025 offering a full range of face-to-face GP services.

In addition, Duality will be opening virtual GP hubs in Gordons Chemists in Kilkeel, Lisburn, Enniskillen and Rathcoole as the first Phase of a province-wide rollout of Duality virtual GP hubs in Gordons Chemists. These hubs will allow for private virtual consultations with a Duality clinician, with prescriptions being instantly available for collection at the Gordons Chemists counter.

The partnership will see Duality’s experienced GP team working across Gordons Chemists locations to provide integrated medical services, offering patients the convenience of same-day appointments, virtual consultations, and direct referral pathways. By combining the strengths of both organisations, communities and patients will benefit from a seamless, locally accessible health service tailored to modern needs.

The move increases fast-growing Duality Healthcare’s presence around Northern Ireland, adding to clinics in Newry, Omagh and Ballymena. Their opening is part of multi-million-pound investment that is expected to see even more locations added in 2026.

John McEvoy, CEO of Duality Healthcare, says: “We are delighted to work alongside Gordons to bring our hybrid healthcare model to more patients than ever before.

"This partnership brings private healthcare closer to home, expanding access to GP and specialist services in areas where healthcare access can be limited. It marks a major step in bridging community pharmacy and primary care through innovation and collaboration.

"It is also another important step for Duality Healthcare in our mission to deliver accessible, high-quality, affordable healthcare to communities across Northern Ireland and redefine how people experience primary care through improved access, enhanced outcomes, and building a system that truly works for patients.”

John Kernohan, CEO of Gordons Chemists, says: “Partnering with Duality Healthcare allows us to further expand our commitment to community wellbeing. By pairing our pharmacy expertise with Duality's innovative GP provision, we can deliver a unique,  connected and comprehensive healthcare experience that helps to reduce barriers to care, shorten waiting times, and ensure individuals and families receive the support they need, when they need it”
