Police are currently attending the second security alert in the Lettershandoney area of Derry in 24 hours.
Local PSNI have confirmed a suspicious device was reportedly found in the area.
The security alert is ongoing at Lettershandoney Avenue.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "If anyone sees anything suspicious we would ask that they do not touch or lift it, but report it immediately to police.
"The Tirbracken Road is closed at its junction with Edenreagh Road."
